Bosch 00613634 Oven Lamp Light Cover Removal Tool

This tool is utterly fantastic. I totally disagree with the reviewer who said if you can't shift the light cover wearing rubber gloves then you won't shift it with this tool. I tried everything, rubber gloves, rubber sheet, bare hands, damp teatowel - I just couldn't shift the cover this time despite having managed okay on previous lamp changes. I was all set to order a new cover and smash the existing one with a hammer when I saw this tool and thought it was worth a try. When I took it out of the bag, I saw it had a trough on the back (it's not very visible on the photo) and realised I could put a screwdriver shank along it and use the screwdriver to get more leverage. I tried it and the tool slipped off the cover. I realised that I needed more upwards pressure. So, I put it on again and pushed upwards and prepared to heave to try and shift the glass, making sure I was going in the correct direction so as not to tighten the glass further. It was amazing. I didn't have to pull the tool very hard at all - the cover came off remarkably easily. I am so impressed.Now maybe your glass is stuck tighter and you will have to smash it. But I would strongly recommend trying this tool first because it worked like a charm for me. I have now put it away safely ready to use again. I am in awe of this well designed tool :)

Have 2 Bosch HBN331E5B/ 01 ovens and the glass cover was stuck on both.With this tool, they were both off first time with minimal effort.

I didn't think a special tool would be necessary to remove the cover on the oven light, but it was, and this one does the job very well.

The tool is as expected but if the lamp case is more than hand tight it probably won’t work.

This does exactly what it says,I could not unscrew the glass on oven,used this and unscrewed first time ,cannot recommend enough

So this is recommended to use to replace the bulb in the bosch oven. It wasn't as simple as we thought, we just couldn't budge the the bulb. Used some WD 40 to aid removal. Guess it's just bad luck but an expensive piece of plastic.

The first time I changed our oven lightbulb, I did it with a bit of elbow grease. It took about 15 mins but eventually I got the glass cover off.This time, the thing wouldn't budge. I followed all the tips (pre heat the oven to help soften grease, wiggle the glass cover etc) and nothing worked.I eventually caved and bought this light cover removal tool and got the cover off in about 10 seconds. It's important when you are unscrewing to apply upward pressure as well as rotating anti-clockwise as this stops the tool from slipping off.Overall, a great buy and saves time/effort and also the skin on your knuckles from trying to remove the glass cover!

After being unable to unscrew the bulb housing for some months we finally decided to send for this tool despite mixed reviews. After two attempts and then using after the oven had been warmed up the tool worked and the glass housing came off quite easily.

Nach 13 Jahren stand nun endlich mal ein Wechsel der Backofenlampe in unserem Bosch Ofen an.Egal wie kräftig ich per Hand an dem Glas geruckelt hab......es bewegte sich nur minimal.Ich fand dann hier das Bosch Spezialwerkzeug. Schon ein Hammer, dass man sich für einen Birnenwechsel ein teures Plastikwerkzeug kaufen muss. Aber - es funktionierte einwandfrei. Und bevor man für einen Birnenwechsel einen Servicetechniker kommen lässt, rechnet sich das Teil doch schnell.Also. Wer das rundes Schutzglas nicht so abbekommt, für den ist dieses Tool das Richtige.

FUNZIONA, 2 forni uguali il mio e quello di mio suocero tempo un paio di settimane di distanza si bruciano le lampadine, proviamo a mano, smontando portello e resistenza superiore.Abbiamo provato anche con la chiave a strozzo per il filtro olio ma niente.Con tantissimo scetticismo acquisto questo pezzo di plastica senza nessuna speranza, invece il mio è venuto giù a mano a freddo, quello di mio suocero ancora caldo , girando per qualche secondo a destra e sinistra , poi con l'aiuto di un cacciavite si è smontando senza fatica.FUNZIONA GARANTITO.

did not fit 2016 Bosch oven. had to pay return postage for useless item
