These mats are good for keeping my dog busy and happy. I've been using baby food as a spread, but peanut butter, cream cheese or really anything spreadable would work.

I threw it in the dishwasher and it still managed to get some food clinging to it. The suction was medium, it did slide a bit across the kitchen floor but it's also possible I didn't press down hard enough. Still, we tried it with peanut butter and he was a big fan!

Well, whether the cats meow or the cats pajamas this four pack of lick mats comes in handy for several different uses. You can be inventive, be creative. They have well made suction cups on the rear of all the pads. It will adhere well on any smooth surface and of course you see the adverts sticking these to walls and doors or any vertical surface. I am using these differently. I am placing these on the floor to be used as place mats for cat food bowls. They are just about the perfect size for this use. They raise the bowls off of the floor a bit and can deter ants from reaching the food if you get them. You also get a small spatula and a tiny scrub brush (looks like a tooth brush) included in the package. Overall a winning package if you love your fur babies!

Having a few of these around to either give my cats treats or even put their wet food on top of, I’ve found hat this is a perfect size. Some others are a little too small but this one is perfect.The material feels study and they go through the dishwasher just fine. The colors are attractive. It also comes with a small silicone, spatula and a cleaning brush.

I have some other lick mats that I’ve tried to use to slow them down on their canned meals, but they are too advanced for my kittens. We have 4 under 2 years old…These are great! They are a lot softer silicone, the nubs are lower and rounded than the other ones, and the designs are much bigger, they are a great introduction to turning meal time into an activity. It slows them down some, whereas if they’re too complicated or uncomfortable they’ll lick the surface and give up and keep begging for food. Which also wastes expensive canned food.There is more waste with these than their bowls while they’re getting used to them, the trick is to not give them too much. Especially at first while they are figuring it out. It slows them down so they also don’t need as big of a portion because they fill up faster. A tablespoon is a good start, and supplement the rest of the meal in a bowl until they are cleaning all the nooks and crannies and eventually no bowl.Which giving supplements and medication is a bit trickier with these, I sprinkle on top to ensure they get it all rather than mixing it in, because I don’t want it wasted in the corners they missed.I like these a lot, the kitties are more engaged with their food, not quite like a hunt but it’s definitely an activity that works well. I make them work/hunt for their treats too with various methods to keep them on their toes.The cleaning brush and the small spatula is a great add-on that’s appreciated! I keep them in basket with their canned food scrapers so there is always one handy just for them. They *might* be a little spoiled…

I got these for my cat that needs injections and I wanted a positive distraction so that she wasn't just getting poked with a needle for insulin all of the time. This worked like a charm. A little canned food on it while she get her injection and she didn't even seem to notice. I also tried it out on my neighbor's dachshund to see about cutting toenails and he let me cut a few with peanut butter on there (I only tried a few). I would say these are really great. I do not have a dishwasher so washing them is a tiny bit of work if you don't wash immediately (mostly the peanut butter), but nothing serious, and I'm certain if I had a dishwasher it would be absolutely a breeze. With 4 of them, you could wash a couple and still have one to work with.As for the product itself, they are very well made. Quality silicone and good suction cups that stuck to a variety of surfaces I trialed. The nubs and little ridge things are all well constructed and I have no fear of them coming off or ruining soon. These mats are a good size for cats and smaller to medium dogs, but would be too small for large breeds. The mats are about the size of a very large dinner plate, but rectangular. I would buy this product again and would recommend it to friends. We have several small dogs and they like to bark. I got these lick mats to distract them for when we are expecting company over. It is very easy to spread peanut butter on the mats. The idea worked and the dogs were too busy trying to get into every nook and cranny to even think about barking at our guests arrive. Clean up was not too bad as there was only a small residual left behind the the little brush that was included helped to clean. A few things I really like is the variety in color so I know which mat belongs to which dog and the little spreader that was also included.

I have several pets, but not enough silicone pads to feed them off of - then I saw this bulk pack!Having multiple dogs, they love these feeding mats! I spread some wet/canned food on the bottom, or the tiniest bit of dog-safe peanut butter, and then put their dry food on top and they go to town on these! The pads will be clear and cleaned, yet they'll still keep licking for an extra 5 - 10 minutes.Cleaning is easy, suction is nice - I have larger ones where they'll get STUCK to anything, these don't get too stuck - but just enough. Overall, I'd get this pack again! The cats seem to love it too!My dogs and cats get excited, they're engaged, and they're happy - 5 STARS!
