Works like oem due to using the internals of the oem key. Wish there was an option to have a lanyard or protect for the screen as it’s pretty easy to scratch up if not aware. Would recommend to anyone as it’s a nice party piece and a high functioning key. Also, not a hard install of you know how to solder.

I purchased the LCD key and sent in mine. Unfortunately Cardot sent my new (and my old one) UPS ground (the slowest form) and the train got derailed and my purchase was held up. I was told by the Owner that they sent the key and they have no liability. When in fact, at least in this country, if you send a package via UPS it comes with a standard/minimum insurance of $100.00 (Google it). I have absolutely no idea why I was told it isn’t their problem. Your exact quote was, they lost your key so they should reimburse you’, which is incorrect. Cardot sent it, Cardot is responsible for filing a claim with UPS as the sender, not me. Cardot & SmartCarLCDKey (John Glueck) actually made an offer to make my spare key LCD and overnight it to me to ensure I wasn’t without my car even longer. They did not follow through with this. Instead just kept waiting for my first package to hopefully arrive after being on a train that derailed in Illinois. It finally did arrive 3 days later than expected. Obviously you shouldn’t / can’t do business with a company that isn’t going to care how many days you’re without your car, or doesn’t know the simple fact that they are responsible with sending/paying UPS and filing a claim if necessary. Saying I am responsible is ludicrous. Today, I have the one lcd key and my spare is with Cardot / SmartCarLCDKey. ** It’s not that I dislike your product, I dislike the service and lie about me being liable. You were so concerned with the $ actually telling me you don’t make much profit (as I can’t drive my car and which has nothing to do with me). I guess you weren’t worried about the reviews when you made those statements. I would not recommend this service if you rely on your car for transportation and want a company that will ensure you’re smiling after their service.
