Excellent honey..but not for 'sweetening'.
I used to enjoy Greek honey when going to mountain villages as a child and teenager, long before tourism became big in Greece. This honey reminds me of that.It has powerful medicinal and healing properties, and is excellent by itself or on bread, but its sugar content is not suitable for sweetening. I have a Tropical Forest honey for sweetening.I intend to try out all the Greek honeys now coming on the market. Greek honey is an excellent buy, and a great healing food, but it pays to know its provenance. Honey from the Central and Northern Greece, from the mountain ranges, is probably as pure and as powerful as any honey on Earth. The Greek mountain wildernesses are still pristine and natural, and some areas are barely touched by human activity. However, the same cannot always be said for honeys coming from the Attic Peninsula, esp. in the region around Athens. Athens has had and may still have huge problems with motor vehicle and industrial pollution that tends to reach the high ground surrounding Athens... and could... could... affect the quality of the honeys produced there. So provenance is always worth checking, as is any info on the quality of honey production there. Membership of the EU has helped Greek food producers, incl. of honey, to improve the quality of food production significantly over the last 30 years. It’s worth going to the websites of Greek food producers, esp. of honey, to read how they produce the product, and thus get some idea of the quality achieved by modern production methods, perhaps combined with more traditional.I look forward to trying out more and different Greek honeys through Amazon over the coming year.

Great Greek honey! Totally recommend it!
Really good Greek honey! I’ve been buying this for a very long time! Totally recommend it! The price is great and not overprice like most of the Greek honeys that are sold in the uk market!

Great tasting honey
Second time ordering this honey, it's really nice and does taste different to most types of honey I've had. Perhaps would be better if it was even a little bit thicker than it is, but not a great issue anyway as the honey does taste really nice.
