OPINail Envy Nail Strengthener | Clear & Opaque Crème Nail Polish Treatment | Strengthen Weak & Thin Nails

I loved the maroon color! I don’t know if it made my nails stronger but I loved it anyway

After months of acrylics, my nails were like paper and I had nothing to lose other than the $20 investment. After one week of daily use, I bought another color and the week later, yet another. It works! After 3 weeks of use, my nails are much stronger and not peeling or breaking. An extra benefit is that it dries quickly, and I can add a layer and leave the house within 5 minutes. It rarely chips and as a layer is added each day, it stays looking good all week. I am a convert.

I ordered OPI Nail Envy polish instead of their regular polish line to strengthen my weak nails. Although my nails are short, I thought a color would look nicer on me instead of a nude or light colors. I chose Tough Luv.Following the instructions of applying the coats to a clean nail bed (not over a base coat as traditional manicures would begin), I applied my first coat and was glad that 2 coats were indicated on this first day. The color was streaky and uneven. The brush & the viscosity of this bottle seems off, actually. I've been polishing my nails at a friends house and her OPI (and other brands) are very fluid and apply with adequate body within the polish itself.Unhappy with 2 coats of this OPI Nail Envy "Tough Luv", I applied a third coat and skipped the additional coat the following day. One of my nails chipped already. That was a real surprise to me, since each of my nails are so short. However, the polish doesn't flow as smoothly as the regular OPI. In fact, "loading" the brush with the right amount of polish is not as easy with OPI Nail Envy.Lastly, the dried polish (instructions do not say to add a top coat) lacks both the shine and protection a traditional manicure would have by finishing with a protectant glossy top coat. The Tough Luv color I have on is difficult to distinguish, ridges in my nails are very visible and the overall effort seems to be wasted.SEE PHOTOS: Zoom in to see the dried polish texture and uneven finish. Yes, polish is on my cuticles.I"ll try this a couple of weeks, but I'm not pleased.For the big increase in price versus a bottle of regular OPI polish, my goals as a consumer would be that the polish would have the appearance of a nice manicure: self leveling surface, shiny hard finish, and protection at the tip to lessen chipping.The "Tough Luv" one I purchased dried as a maroon/raisen color with low level shine. The finish shows too much texture. In fact, the thick polish itself seems to be the factor for some of the texture, unlike the smoother surface of my nail.If all the OPI Nail Envy colors perform this way, I will not buy any more of them. The market has plenty of products to strengthen my nails ... and still allow for a smooth and shiny surface when dry.

I got this because I destroyed my nails from wearing acrylic so I wanted to try to get my nails healthy again. But I also wanted some sort of color, not just clear.However, I believe it is making my nails worse! I only had a couple nails, especially my pinky fingers, that were peeling past the nail bed. Now it seems like all my nails are peeling farther and farther. My only nail that I haven't cut to the nail bed is one of my thumbs and it is extremely weak! It bends at the slightest touch and it hurts!It may be that my nails were crap from the beginning, but I really feel like this made them much worse!Do NOT spend your money on this!! WAY to expensive! Just use clear nail strengtheners that have actually proven to help!

First of all, I have loved nail envy for years and it has kept my nails strong. I was really glad to see it is starting to come out in colors! The color is pretty & it stays on well, (but not as well as the clear of course) this color should be nice for the holidays -winter and fall. I would try another color I love OPI nail envy

This color is too dark and too matte. There was a tiny hint of shimmer but that disappeared with 1 coat of the OPI topcoat. That has not happened with any of yhe many other OPI colors I own.

This polish did not look like the picture when I applied it.wouldn’t order.

Dries fast so make sure you put it on even!

I made a mistake in the colour I ordered. Other then that I have no complaints.

Love the colo for Xmas

1 star for a nice colour.BUT….It chips within 24 hours. I don’t do manual work or get hands in water a lot and still this chipped on 8 of my nails. I followed instructions 1st time. 2nd time, I tried it again with a Top coat. STILL CHIPPED!It’s not fit for purpose. Honestly, it’s a total waste of money.
