About the Author Jeff has been writing for several years and enjoys spending time with his wife and young children - the motivation for most of his books. A founding member of Blue Forest Books, he originally created these books for his young son, who loved them and asked to make some for his school friends. That sparked the idea to share the books with not only his school, but the whole world. Jeff's books are designed primarily for children ages 5 and up and are all approved by his toughest critics (his kids!).

Bought three books and the girls who usually love writing and drawing virtually ignored the books in favour ...
This book was too structured! I wanted a few planned pages for them to complete about packing, the destination etc and then I was hoping for a page per day for writing and another for drawing. It was for 3 trips. Bought three books and the girls who usually love writing and drawing virtually ignored the books in favour of £1 notebook. 😕

This is great. A lovely pass time for a trip away. My son is 10 and enjoyed filling in the pages. The areas are well thought out and really got my son thinking about his thoughts on our trip.

Need to book more holidays
Looks a little complicated, you need to read the suggestions for parents so it's not just a give and off you go book. Lots if space for writing, enough for 4 trips.

Boring
I should have listened to a previous reviewer. This diary is very repetitive and unimaginative. I have 3 granddaughters and now that I have received the three I want I find that "Lonely Planet My Travel Journal" looks good for my 7 year old and "Kids' Travel Journal" and "Kids Trip Diary" for the 10 and 12 year old all look exciting and fun. Won't know for sure until we do our trip to Italy!

Kid's Travel Journal- Real Hit With Granddaughters
The girls dearly loved them! Their ages are 7 & 8, visiting us from Colorado! We all loved them and they were able to write so many options, color, drawing - you did a great job designing them and the price was great!!!

Good idea, slightly repetitive
I bought this for my 5.5 year old son before our trip to Mexico. He liked writing in it- it has a section you fill out before each trip (what you did to prepare, who you want to write postcards to, etc...) and then a page for each day of your trip (10 days/trip). The only issue I had was that the daily pages were all the same, so it got a little repetitive after a few days. I think if our next trip is not a trip to the beach but a more "cultural" trip, it would probably be more fun to fill in each day.

The perfect children’s must-have travel journal!
We homeschool, and on my children’s birthdays, we take them places they have learned about for birthday field trips. The first time we used this particular journal was when I took them to Colonial Williamsburg last spring for my daughter’s birthday. We liked these journals so much that I purchased more for their trip to Oahu and Hawaii, the big island in December for my son’s birthday. These travel journals are perfect! They record their anticipations and what they’re going to pack before their journey, then there’s 9 days for them to document. So each evening, my children document what they did, what they liked best and why, what new thing they tried, and the day’s weather is a fun addition. We also tape their tour and museum tickets and etc. onto the pages. We keep their journals in their libraries so they can look back at them later on. These journals are a wonderful way to make the children really think about what they did each day and they make wonderful keepsakes to look back at. I would give this more than 5 stars if possible! :-)

Loved the idea, but the book itself was bland.
As a homeschooling mother I really wanted my children to record their vacation and all of their memories now that they are of age to do so by themselves. This book was great since it had space for 3 trip location as we were traveling to 2 places. All of the questions and reminders are great to read and write a response. Educational and fun and filed with memories. The radon for 4 stars is because the books is black and white on the inside with little drawing or art. It would be a perfect 5 stars with some color and a little more detail inside.

Probably for an older child
This book is probably for an older child. Very dry and cut up. Boring. Blank entry journal/diary like lined pages inside. Where do you put photos? Art? On the positive side, it was divided to several I think 10 day segment. My 11 year old glanced at it and looked inside for a minute and returned it to me with request to give to her younger sister.

Love it!!!
got this for my 6yr old to take on our cruise..first big trip we have ever taken...loved it...each night we wrote in this journal...loved that there were prompts to help him decide what to write about..and the space for pictures or drawings is great..would highly recommend this for young travelers....great way to remember all the fun little details that would be forgotten over time

Creative Fun!
Love this journal! It's great for ages 6-10. The writing prompts are so user friendly. The journal can be used for three different trips. It's a special keepsake with a variety of activities. We gave these to my granddaughters and It kept them occupied their entire visit.

A perfect way to remember the trip for kids that are able to read and write
I bought these for my two older kids to take on our last road trip and they were perfect. The kids were able to write in them and draw pictures after each stop. It has helped them to remember details that they otherwise would have forgot plus it gave them something to do rather then watch another movie! There is plenty of space for several more trips.

Great for 6-10yr olds. Great Keepsake of vacation memories!!
My son is 6 & really enjoyed writing in this journal in our most recent trip to Jamaica. He practiced writing with no fuss! Although the inside is black & white he had fun drawing pictures & coloring. Glad I bought it, it will hold great memories forever!

Great Journal. Places for writing
Great Journal. Places for writing, drawing, and taping keepsakes. My child loved writing in it during some downtime and you can complete a days worth of journaling in 5-10 minutes, so they never got bored with it.

Well done but age limit is around 8
It is cute and well made. But too kiddish for older than 8. There are a lot of prompts, which is good and bad.
