35ppt (1.026sg) Refractometer Calibration Solution 1.25 oz

It comes with a lot and has saved my life and me from salting my tank because my equipment likes to lose calibration

I had trouble trusting my Hanna salinity tester because my refractometer always read higher, thats because I was calibrating my refractometer with rodi water to 0 wich made it read high when testing tank water. after calibrating my refractometer with this product, its readings now match the Hanna testers readings. I always thought my tank was at 1.025sg but now its clear the Hanna was right by saying it was actually at 1.023sg and the now properly calibrated refractometer also reads 1.023sg. never calibrating with rodi water again

I have been having a hard time keeping coral alive, or getting them to grow. It's been an absolute struggle for me. I finally broke down and bought an ICP test to see what was going on and it showed my salinity was at 1.023 SG; 31.3ppt. It really threw me off because I had been calibrating my refractometer to 0 with RODI water, verified 0 TDS. My target salinity was 1.025 SG. So I purchased this to calibrate my refractomer in hopes it would show me what the ICP test stated. Sure enough, after calibration, my refractometer now read 1.023 SG.As far as accuracy goes, it was spot on to my ICP test, and I am just completely surprised by my mistake. This is an absolute worthwhile buy.Bad news is the shipping issue. For whatever reason this bottle just leaks in shipping. If they solve that issue, I'd give 5 stars all day.

I’ve been using this product for sometime now and it works great! I’ve never been able to find a bottle of calibration fluid at any of my LFS, and for the price this is a great buy.

I have no way to know for sure if this solution is accurate or not but Fritz Aquatics is a brand I trust so. Yah. Used to calibrate my refractometer based off it. I had my refractometer calibrated to 0 based off of just RO/DI water. This solution indicated i was 5ppm off from 35ppm so I adjusted. Only negative was it came leaking in the padded envelope it was sent in but most of the liquid was in-tact. All in all good product and fast shipping from seller. Would buy again.

Measured at 35 ppt but the bottle is not great. It twists to open, seems loose and not a great dropper. But price was reasonable so I'm not very upset but I should have simply bought a recloseable dropper bottle and made my own.

I assumed this solution was accurate . Calibrated my refractometer and it was off significantly. I floated the solution in my tank to get the temp correct cleaned my refractometer with ro di. Showed it was off by .005. I assumed it was correct. My corals didn't seem very happy as I slowly increased my salinity over a few days Took solution to my lfs and compared it to theirs and was over 1.034 and 40 ppt. Now it makes me wonder if I should even be using their salt . I had just purchased a new box of rpm salt. Thought this would be better salt then reef crystals now I am second guessing my choice.
