This torch is extremely bright.Perfect for emergencies or general use.

This lights up the whole park so excellent torch, and at full power for maybe 10 mins per night it only needs charging every week or so. Not sure how frequently it would need charging with prolonged use at full power. Update: it's not been dropped or immersed but has a dodgy connection within a couple of months, however I removed the rechargeable battery and put it back in, screwed the base up tight, and now it seems to be working reliably again.

Sadly, on arrival, after charging many hours, the torch was faulty and had to be returned. Amazon was outstanding as usual and I received a full refund.

Ultra bright torch... perfect that it has a rechargeable battery! Lasts for hours! A must have!

I had this free from Amazon in order to do an evaluationThis torch is very easy to use, with just one button, which when pressed turns on the light, first full power, then medium, then low. if the button is held down, then it strobes. Narrow angle to wide beam is simply adjusted by pulling out the lens housing on the front.The light output is very bright, but, a not very pleasant purple colour, reminiscent of how led torches were many years ago, as compared in the first picture, with a similar modern torch ( on the left), Also, the LED has four sections which are clearly visible when it's focussed to its narrowest beam setting.When it's set to a wider beam, this effect is not visible.The battery life is very good, on a test, lasting for 3hours and 20 mins on full brightness.It's very robust, and has a modern USB-C charge socket, and acts as battery bank to charge a phone.All in all, a very capable torch, pity about the choice of LED chip

Anyway openedThe box there were no instructions in the box. Removed plastic on battery & fitted batteryto the torch. The torch would not operate turned the battery opposite direction. The torchwould still not operate. Looked inside the torch & I could see a spring inside the torch. Iworked out the torch could not work with this setup. The spring would have to be fitted to the end cover, the spring had to be turned 180 degrees to enable the pointed end to locate on the battery. The spring was not easy to force into the end cover so it could not have fallen out. somebody had unsuccessfully had a good play with the torch.Time to test the torch, yes the torch worked on all 4 modes. 3 of the 4 levels of battery chargeWere illuminated. I decided to check if the torch would charge with the supplied cable.Inserted the usb C end into the torch & the usb cable into charging socket, The chargingLight on the torch flashed on then off. Moved to another socket same problem.Replaced the very thin charging cable with a better-quality cable from a different torch.The torch starting charging & it charged the torch to illuminate the 4 led battery lightsIndicating the torch was fully charged.Tested the torch & I did like the torch and there was a very good light. The part I likedThe best was the on off button, it was slightly raised this would allow you too easilyLocate the button in the dark. I did not like the fact that the lifting tab for rubber usb coverWas pointing to your thumb or fingers. This would probably result in you lifting therubber cover for the torch usb ports. It would cost the manufactures nothing to reversethe tab The company should be ashamed to send out the torch in this condition, haveThey never heard of quality control.I would have awarded 4 or 5 stars but will only award 2 stars because the torch was not working.
