Sew Mini Treats (Klutz)

We bought this for my 9 year old daughter's birthday and she loved it! It was beautifully presented, had easy to follow step-by-step instructions and the materials (threads, needles, felt, filling and templates) were of fabulous quality. This kit kept my 9 year old, 12 year old and myself entertained for ages! We even bought key chain and brooch blanks to turn them into wearable pieces! In all, a brilliant product that I would definitely buy again.

Really happy with this kit, lovely detailed book with Beautiful illustrations, very easy to follow instructions. Bought for my 10 year old to start her first sewing projects and although I’ve done finished the first few items, it’s easy enough for her to build her confidence with some of the less tricky projects.

A lovely kit that contains hours of work, the book is amazing and so easy to read and understand, the needle is pretty big and I understand why, but the felt isn't very good quality so the needle leaves big holes and tears and doesn't look very neat at all, so I used my own smaller needles and it was much better. The felt really isn't very good quality, it does the job but I wished it was softer and less prone to tearing because the stitches end up not holding it together very long if the final result is played with for too long. The best bit about this kit is by far the book, my advice would be buy your own felt if you want softer better felt, it's not that expensive, you could even buy different colours instead of following the ones you got, I would buy the kit just for the book alone.

I bought this for my 9 year olds birthday- we were away in the UK on a campsite so I was looking for things that could keep her (and her two older siblings) busy. This had THE most use in hours out of all the gifts she received. It got used by all 3 kids- along with my 9 year old, a 10 year old daughter and 11 year old son. I was surprised they ALL get really involved making this. The eldest had more patience to complete a task in one go. I even joined in and made a pineapple. It took me about an hour and there are lots of little edibles to have a go at creating. I’ve already noted this for ideas for Xmas and other birthdays coming up :) Massive 5 stars for me. Age suitability definitely hits ages 9-11 (and also 38 haha)

This is my second purchase for kids, our 8year old girl love this cute sewing kit. Everything inside and very easy to follow the instructions. They had a lots of fun with this!

Daughter found them quite tricky and ended up giving up. Probably OK for someone with more patience!

These sets are quite expensive but are worth it. The kits I have bought for my 8 year old granddaughter have been well received. They actually look like the pictures shown and with a little help produce pleasing results.

Super cute book with step by step instructions , great timepass , takes time to sew but the end product looks great

Absolutely wonderful!! The instructions are easy to follow and the materials are great. Pros: - Super cute! - Easy to make; just cutting and sewing. The book tells you how to do the stitches needed for the projects, and if you're anything like me you'll get the hang of it quickly. - Clear instructions; even when I was a bit delirious from the heat I was able to sew a little piece of toast properly. - Gives you something fun to do when you're bored. - Quality materials; no cheapness here. Issues: - I wish there were more sheets of several colours of felt; trying to make a green apple proved not possible because of just how much felt is needed for other projects. - I think there should be an extra sheet of eyes and cheek blushes; with how many extras I made of some items there just wasn't enough cute lil blushes to go around! - The needles need to be significantly sharper. Even my sharp needles had a little bit of trouble going through the felt occasionally, and when that happened I knew that the needles that were given to me in this package wouldn't have a chance of piercing the felt. If you buy this, I recommend that you have your own needles handy. - There should be reminders on pages with patterns that need to be flipped to flip them. I've, more than once, accidentally traced a pattern twice the same way that needed to be flipped, because I was just so focused and eager to sew. Not a huge issue, but it'd be very helpful. Aside from all that, if I were able to say anything to Klutz, it'd be "make another edition of this!" I absolutely love making tiny little foods and the instructions in this were so clear, and I also love their method of making the patterns as a cardboard piece instead of just paper like I've seen many other patterns. It ensures that the patterns last and I'm sure that even after I create everything in this kit I'll still be making more little foods using these patterns (I'm even planning to buy more felt specifically to make more!). I did buy this for myself, so I'm not entirely sure how a child would fare with this, but I'd probably recommend them to be at least eight years old or so, and to definitely have some supervision. All in all a worthwhile purchase. Absolutely adorable and gives me something to do when I'm really bored. Extremely eager to see a new edition of tiny food come out from this company! I'd buy it in a heartbeat. (maybe with a cute little hamburger and fries or a sandwich?)

My daughter loved this kit she made quite a few plushies and it was very cute and after some time of using this kit she could make her own plushies using the felt like a chocolate bar which wasn’t provided in the book.But the way of tying a knot provided in the book was very complicated.
