Solid and practical
This Roughneck 18-inch pry bar has quickly become one of my most reliable tools. It’s ideal for all sorts of DIY jobs — I’ve used it for lifting floorboards, removing skirting boards, and prying out deeply embedded nails, and it’s handled each task with ease. The three bevelled, tapered tips are perfectly shaped for getting under stubborn fixtures without causing too much damage to surrounding materials. The drop-forged, heat-treated steel construction gives it serious strength and durability — you can feel the quality as soon as you pick it up. It doesn’t bend or warp under pressure, and the powder-coated, polished tips help prevent rust, which is great for long-term use in damp conditions. At 457mm (18 inches), it offers a solid amount of leverage without being too bulky to control. The fact that it comes with a 25-year guarantee just shows how confident Roughneck are in the tool's longevity. Pros: Extremely strong and durable – built to last Ideal size for leverage without being unwieldy Effective nail remover and perfect for lifting or prying tasks Corrosion-resistant with powder-coated, polished tips Covered by a 25-year guarantee Cons: Slightly heavy for delicate or light DIY jobs No grip padding — gloves recommended for longer use Can mark soft wood if not used carefully Overall, this is a must-have tool for any DIYer or tradesperson — rugged, reliable, and versatile. It makes tough jobs far easier and is well worth the investment.

Good bar
Great bar

Great value. More liable to bending than a Jemmy but great when paired with Bolster and Club Hammer.
Useful and great value bar, this. But it isn't indestructible.. I'm not that strong but trying to dismantle a solid Euro-style Pallet, when applying too much leverage I could feel the hook end starting to bend. I had a go with a bolster (fat chisel for bricks) first which started things off, allowing this tool to lift the boards. Just one corner was so well secured that I had to use a plug cutter to drill around the nails first.instead. Still, highly recommended for pulling things apart or pulling nails. Whichever end you're driving in, it can be whacked with a hammer. I would suggest a club hammer for a bit of extra clout. Only loses a star as it's more bendy than, say, a jemmy but I guess that's expected p'raps due to the flat shape.

Great tool. Massively effective. Superb Value.
Lovely little crowbar; initially thought I'd gone for one too short but this the 18" size surprisingly sturdy, with very little flex, and it doesn't take a lot of effort to get some serious leverage and pressure. I used it to dismantle an old fence and this ripped through it in no time. The bar is well designed, and very easy to use. The tips are quite sharp (they come with rubber stoppers) which is great for prying into small gaps - I also used the ends to scrape moss off, which it also did with ease. The main body of the bar has an 'grainy' emboss-style finish which gives it some good grip, especially with worker gloves. Both ends are rock solid, and the hooked side is also a useful tool for moving / grabbing / lifting things. The only time I was getting any flex out of it was trying to pry out large/deep/rusty nails, which it did struggle with a bit. The 'Nail Remover' slot at one end is a good idea, but could have been a bit wider: I found the fork in each of the ends to be more effective for bigger nails. Overall, a great tool, and unbelievable price (£7 with Prime shipping). Next job is ripping up some pallets, which I'm kind of looking forward to now!

Great for removing skirting and other trim
I bought this to remove a house full of skirting boards and architrave. Both ends were used which gave me a few options which was great. The skirting was nailed and glued but i had no issues removing it. I did over stress it a few times but I knew when to back it off! Okay for removing nails bit if the head is gone its going to struggle just like a claw hammer would! Highly recommended at this price point. Great quality should last me a good few demo jobs.
