Weekly Use-> Small Cottage Food Business
I bought this to use for my small cottage food business I run. Overall it is good quality, getting even slices. I make sandwich loaves and use this weekly to slice them. I personally don’t use the knife provided, as I prefer the longer one I own. There was a learning curve to using this, as my sandwich loaves are taller than the slots. That’s the only design problem, is the height of the slots (in relation to any sandwich bread I make, they are shorter). Once I got the hang of it however, it is nice and reliable to use for my business.

Very n8ce, with 1 sortvof major flaw
100% unpaid and honest review here.Overall, this is a very nice, sturdy abd well built bread slicer. The knofe that comes with it is so far also very nice. It folds and unfolds easily, stores the extra piece and the knife quite well and while slightly shakey when cutting with it, really not bad at all. The bottom part you place it into catches all oftge crumbs. This is potentially a wonderful, near perfect piece, imho...with 1 caveat. (Read below)There are 2 things to consider here though, and one of them is a sort of major flaw which I moght be returming it over.1) it's not adjustable for different width breads. Not a huge deal. I knew this and could tell when buying it. You can just hold the less wide breads up agsinst the far side when cutting. Problem solved. Easy peasy. Not a deal breaker.2) Here is the possible deal breaker. I included photos. We've only cut 1 and 1/2 small loaves of bread so far and just look at the deep gouges in the bottom already! My concern is that in less than a year or even the first 6 months. We will wind up slicing all the way through that bottom, rendering this item useless. If they could only have used a sturdier, thicker, treated wood instead of cheap bamboo just for the bottom part you cut onto. I mean. The bottom is literally a cutting board and should be a cutting board. Had they done that, this thing would be a 5 stars keeper. Shoot, I'd give it 10 stars then. I love everything else about it. Very sad the bottom of it isn't up to par for it to last.If you don't mind having to buy a new one 2 or 3x a year, then by all means..this is the one to buy. Or maybe you don't cook bread all that often, so it won't bother you if you can only use it for 20 loaves before you slice through the bottom slats. If that's all you're lookikg for, get it. You'll love it.

Perfect bread slicer.
I like the bread slicer. You can adjust the size and thickness of the slice. Great value. Easy to store and it appears to have been build well.

Nice looking set, but too flimsy for my sourdough
Really nice-looking set, comes in a nice bag and everything fits together well, but in practice, it's just not working right for my tough sourdough loaves. As someone else mentioned, the knife should probably be a bit longer, maybe another inch or two, to make sure it doesn't pull out of the slot when drawn back. And the bamboo guides just didn't hold things firmly enough to work any better than freehand slicing (and I'm not great at slicing, hence my desire for the guide). In one of the photos or videos, it shows the person squeezing the slatted sides together on the loaf to hold things firmly in place, but mine wouldn't let me do that without possibly breaking it. Kudos to the aesthetic and packaging, and maybe it works great for regular sandwich loaves, but just not for me and the crusty bricks I bake.

Great purchase!
I bought this for my sister for her birthday. (who bakes her own bread) She loves it as she can cut the loaves to what ever thickness she wants and it cuts very nice with the knife that came with it. I bought it was a great buy for the price and she gets a lot of use out of it of it.

Elegant Piece
The media could not be loaded. This is an absolutely stunning piece and I love the quality! I actually returned a few similar items before deciding on this one and I am very pleased with my purchase. I like that it has different sizes you can use on the guide posts for your perfect slice👌.It it very sturdy once locked into place. I saw a review that said the sides didn't hold up in place. One of my sides was a bit snug and did not auto lock into place like the other side. Once I manually pushed it into the notch it locked in place. Not a big deal to me at all I still love it! I did put a demo in my video so I hope that helps with assemblyI agree with some of the reviews that the magnets to hold the knife are not very stong but I knew about that by the reviews before I purchased so and its not a big deal to me but I did upload a video to kind of show the strength so you can make your own educated decision 😊. My opinion is that it's fine but if you pick it up and move it like I do as a serving tray just be sure you have a hold of it to be safe 👍.I love the crumb catcher feature! I've had a similar bread slicer before without one and let me tell you that this one is a game changer on being mess free. I want to share a little tip to keep your bread slicer lasting a long time. I have added a thin piece of flexible plastic cutting board that I bought for cheap at Walmart and cut it to fit inside as a barrier to protect the wood from being damage by the knife. When I am done I just angle it slightly and let the crumbs fall down in the crumb catching tray then toss that plastic piece in the dishwasher. No mess no damage perfect 👌 ❤️.The crumb catching tray can also be used on its own as an elegant serving tray. I've even used mine as a charcuterie board and it's just so darn pretty. This peice is so nice and can be displayed on your counter but it does come with a soft bag for easy storage. Happy Baking everyone. 💓
