Very good product, and reasonable price.
Works very well. The spray bottle has a good, strong, spread of fine spray. Got 2 jackets covered easily with ~20 sprays each (that's a very rough guess, but I sprayed the jackets down quite a bit to ensure I didn't miss any spots - I'm just trying to say the spray bottle works well). The formula is great, we tested it on card board, and it totally works. Sprayed the jackets (Northface and Arcteryx), both are looking great. No issues with spots, nor any discoloration (my jackets are dark grey and black).Very good product, and reasonable price, I'll get the same again when I run out of this one (probably after next year).

Good stuff. Read this review!
Leaving this review because I saw a lot of complaints that this leaves spots/stains and ruined peoples jackets. That is almost 100% user error. The photos attached are after I treated my gear with this spray. This stuff works very well on my Gortex outerwear. It left no stains or spots on my black Burton AK jacket and bib. Also no spots on my 686 jacket which has lighter colors(more susceptible to oil/dirt stains.) Water was beading up and running off the jackets. Very hydrophobic. If you haven’t washed Gortex or other similar waterproof gear, I would recommend visiting their site and looking at the steps.First I wash the gear with Grangers performance detergent. Then I hang dry completely. Once it’s dry, I throw it in the dryer on low heat for 20 minutes to reactivate any remaining DWR. In some cases that’s all that is needed to make your gear water resistant again. If DWR is needed after the above steps, I hang up the gear and spray it down completely until the gear is wet to the touch. If the spray is beading up and dripping down your jacket you want to wipe off that excess with a clean rag. Apply generously to the shoulders and other high contact areas. After this you can just hang dry your gear but I like to throw it back in the dryer for another 20 minutes on low or medium heat. (Some DWR sprays need that heat to activate.) I know other peoples routines may vary but I do this once or twice a year to my jackets and it works well every time.Gear revivex and Grangers Repel + are my DWRs of choice. I do think Gear Revivex tends to be my favorite.

Way less pleasant to apply than stated, but effective
Alright, I really wouldn't want to be constantly exposed to this product in aerosol form, my chest was hurting even when spraying from afar, with a K95 mask on, outdoors, but it certainly does deliver on renewing the water resistance of my rain jacket, so 4 stars because I know of no other product that can bring your gear back to life like this one.

Yep, it works an worth every penny
Okay, at first I thought this product was too good to be true. I read the reviews, watched the video and still had a hard time believing it would work.Let's back up. I have a ten plus year old bright yellow LL Bean trail model rain jacket. Old school, simple but really made well. It has one or two cosmetic stains on it, but otherwise no rips or tears. Problem is the water proofing gave out some time ago - like years ago. I probably didn't take care of it right, but I really dug this jacket. I finally got sick of rain soaking through the hood - there needed to be change. My wife wanted to just buy a new one, but it's expensive ($80). I wanted to try new water proofing, compromising that if it didn't work she could buy me a new one.The spray bottle came in the mail and sat on a shelf for a couple of weeks. I procrastinated because I thought it would smell toxic and make a huge mess. Finally some rain was predicted so I needed to either embrace a wet head or get to work. I donned some gloves and took the jacket outside. I feared for the worst. It could not have been easier. Application was really as simple as spraying on, didn't smell bad and made no mess (in my house or in the drier). The gloves were overkill and while I wouldn't eat this stuff, next time I won't bother.I just tried it out in the pouring rain and I really am amazed. Water that previously soaked in, now beads up. I missed a couple of places so I will do another application. I should have done this years ago.Even if this stuff just holds for a half a season, it's worth every penny. The bottle says up to 4 treatments, but for me I think that is on the low end.Another review said it didn't hold up with regular use. I only wear this jacket in the rain, so it doesn't get much use. It just needs to work when I need it.

its ok but maybe needs more coats? Leaves residue
I've been using another similar brand for a long time and tried gear aid. It seems to work ok, but its not as consistent as what I was using. I tried the other brand side by side and this one doesn't have a consistent bead up of water. I washed the garment first and it was only damp when coated. Gave it a nice even light coat and let dry for 2 days. I went outside with the coat in some light drizzle and water kinda beaded up but in some areas it soaked in. Over the whole garment there where white splotches that werent there before. I followed instructions and sprayed the garment when damp not soaked, I let it set for an hour then wiped the garment with a damp sponge. then let it dry. I kinda regret the test with the wash that rid the old coating and trying something new. I should have done a cold wash, mile soap and stuck with a refresh of the previous coating.

New “improved” formula is junk
Took out the pfas now the product doesn’t work. Old stuff I’ve been using for years worked great. Goretx wets out in a matter of minuets now with new stuff. Waste of money
