I use these for my dermaplaning and they work great. I youtube how to dermaplane my face and it saved me from going to the medusa and spending hundreds of dollars. I definitely will order more in the future.

I run an in home daycare and always looking for a perfect tool to use for precise crafting. This is definitely the tool! It only takes one swipe to creat perfectly covered boxes and fine motor crafts, beautiful bulletin boards and so much more. I also have been able to use this tool to put up a backsplash in my kitchen. I am so happy I found this product and will definitely be purchasing again!

I have used disposable scalpels for crafts for decades. I needed new ones and ordered these because I was attracted by the retractable feature of this item, however, it was not engineered well. When you extend the blade it sticks out way past the body of the handle. This causes the front of blade assembly to bend way too much with VERY little pressure. On top of that the slider tab ends up on the handle where one would normally be holding it. Between the blade not being stable and not being able to hold it securely I did not feel safe using this.I have used another retractable scalpel where the blade did not move, just the attached protective sleeve slid back and out of the way. It was very stable and easy to hold. I have been unable to find another one like that.

I love these for opening anything! They are so sharp that the one pictured actually went through the plastic cover. No harm done though. Normally I would penalize a star for that but they actually make things easier for me.

These scalpels are cheap, but in an emergency, they can save your life. I bought the pack to put in my bug-out bag.In a pinch, any sharp knife will work, but there is a risk of infection. Razor sharp, sterile blades reduce the risk of infection, make more precise cuts and cause less scarring. These scalpels also make great hobby knives for crafts.Do I recommend them for the untrained? Absolutely not! But with minimal training, they can save lives.For example, a person with insect sting allergies can have more toxins injected by scraping with a dull blade or grabbing the stinger with forceps. Scraping with a sharp knife won't do this, but there is the risk of cutting.These allow a moderately skilled person to minimize the damage.NEVER LET CHILDREN PLAY WITH THESE! These are not toys.These are not as good as a professional, surgical scalpel with a stainless handle. They are inexpensive and not as strong or as durable, but for one time use in an emergency, pack a couple in the first aid kit along with forceps, EMT scissors, and a field first aid manual, if you ever need them, you won't regret it.

Scalpels are quite sharp and surprisingly sturdy for a disposable item. My children do quite a bit of art and tried out the blades to cut various materials. They were both impressed how well the handling was even though it was a plastic handle. They loved how sharp they are since it made it so much easier to use.

The blade is⁶ much smaller then the photos makes it look. Difficult for large scale work and when using a new Blade. Actually had to resort to the sawing motion with a new blade for cutting.It should be a firm, push and the job is complete Signing off for now....Tom
