I have heard about singing bowls, but this is my first time to actually use one. This little bowl is really pretty, and such a unique item. It is the perfect price point and size for a novice, especially if you don't have a lot of space. It is fun to use, and we've been using it when practicing our daily mindfulness exercises that our functional medicine practitioner recommended. You can blow through 5-10 minutes playing with this, and hardly know the time has gone! You can sit in in the beautiful little donut pillow that comes with it, or you can put it in the palm of your hand and feel the vibrations as it sounds. The tone is nice, although it would have been nice to have had some kind of instructions or tips for using it, as we keep finding it difficult to get a consistently nice tone. Sometimes it makes a grinding sound, which ruins the moment, and sometimes we get some irritating overtones that are unpleasant. I realize part of it is just about experimenting and practicing to see what sounds we can get out of it, but tips would be helpful. The note this bowl plays would be something good to include in the description as well. Overall, a nice little bowl! We are really enjoying it!

It's very small and portable, sounds pretty when tapped but using the stick on the outside to make it sing is not as pretty as I want it to sound. Maybe I need to practice more, or a larger size would be better. I'm not sure. 4 stars because I never had one before and I watched a video how to use one but it didn't work out the beautiful sound I was looking for. So if I can get it to sing, I'll update this. If I can't, no update. It is beautiful, it comes with a pillow to sit on. It is a pretty decoration piece at the moment. If I can get it to do what it's suppose to, awesome. If I can't maybe it's just a little too small for me.It is solidly constructed, each piece is beautiful, and all together makes a nice conversation starter. People will want to try it and maybe they'll get it to sing better than I can. I'll have to meditate on that.

This is absolutely beautiful but I'm not really sure how to use it to make music. There are no instructions.

I have long wanted one of these little singing bowls but whenever I found one in a store they always seemed too expensive. This set is well priced and includes everything you need, just no instructions. A quick look at a youtube video will get you going and it does take a little practice to sustain the sound. However, my husband picked it up and did it the first time with NO instructions!! Maybe he has a natural touch, I don't know. I use it just to play a lovely tone for relaxation and leave it out on a coffee table so I can ring it when I walk by. Nice quality and good price for this lovely little bowl set.

I was not very familiar with singing bowls. I wanted to enhance my meditation practices and using a singing bowl was suggested to me. I started researching and almost spent big money on a crystal bowl without even understanding what the bowls were actually supposed to do. I am so glad that I ordered this bowl first. It is beautiful and has a lovely tone. It comes with a cushion and the wooden striker. It is a very fair price point and a good entry level singing bowl for those that are interested.
