THE WHITE WHALE *obsessed!!!*
The media could not be loaded. I am completely obsessed and OVERJOYED.Let me start by saying I have only had/used this monitor for one night and one day so far so I can’t speak to longevity or long term battery life or even daily wear and tear. What I will say is I am so obsessed and beyond thankful I found this monitor because so far it is worth every single penny spent. I previously used the Motorola Lux64 for the last 2 years and loved it but the handheld unit’s charging port went out so needed a new one. I reordered the exact same monitor only to be left extremely disappointed by the significantly lowered product and app quality. Guess they decided to cheap out on quality to gain higher profit margin. So having 2 other monitors for comparison (which I included in my images for reference) has helped shape my perspective on this ieGeek monitor. I spent weeks reading countless reviews on countless monitors and thought I was SOL on finding anything worth the cost. Seems like everyone’s just making crap product these days. The other night, I came across this monitor. It had only 78 reviews which concerned me, but EVERY SINGLE ONE was 5 stars and raving about this quality. No mention of the issues I read about in all the other reviews. It had all the features I was looking for and had a $30 coupon which brought it just to the higher end of my budget.I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS THING. Only issue for me is it’s TOO CUTE 😂 and it caused a little of meltdowns for my toddler every time we walked into his room he wanted to play with it. I had to convince him it was an “ouch” so he’d stop trying to get to it. Now he just points and says “ouch” and that’s the end of it.The range of view on this camera is incredible, and the range of panning is even more incredible. I didn’t realize how “zoomed in” my original monitor was until having this view. It also has a “motion tracking” feature which can be turned on or off and it’s a very cool feature. The camera will actually move in the direction of the visual motion and follow it. I don’t really need it at this time but it’s going to come in super handy when my toddler switches from crib to toddler bed and roams his room freely!!One of my requirements for the monitor was that the handheld unit needed to have volume buttons because I turn the volume up and down frequently. I thought it was going to be an issue for me but GUESS WHAT. It doesn’t NEED volume buttons because the background noise/white noise is barely audible!!! I don’t need to keep adjusting the volume! It magnifies the baby’s voice without bringing in all the unnecessary static. But when I do want to change the volume, they made it the very first option when you click the Menu button so it’s really quick to get to and isn’t annoying. Click Menu and then just up or down arrows to adjust volume. There’s also an option to turn off the alarm that comes automatically set to On, along with an option to keep the sound on even while the screen is off. That’s how I have mine. I like the sound on with the screen off and then if I hear the baby I can just tap the top button (power button) to wake the screen and again to turn the screen back off. I don’t need an alarm because I can hear what’s going on at all times. The night vision is unbelievably clear. There’s 0 grain. Annnnnd It LOOKS LIKE IT’S DAYTIME. It’s honestly insane quality. The app. The app quality and options are fantastic. With my first monitor, the app was AWESOME. Had many setting options for the camera itself. Loaded quickly, rarely had issues. The second version of that monitor used a different app with almost no options and was horrible quality visually and with connectivity. This app for this monitor is top notch 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻SO MANY setting options for all things. Excellent visual quality!! Loads almost instantly.Just buy this monitor!Hopefully I won’t have to come back and update my review later on, saying it died or something haha. But love love love it so far!!! Thanks so much ieGeek!!!! This is everything I needed.

Was going to return but…UPDATED! 9/23
First, the box came dented even though the amazon box was not. This tells me I was sent a damaged box which is poor quality control. I thought this would be plug & play and it’s def not -if you have to set up your wifi to dual band (if not set up already). You cannot use this on 5g; You MUST use 2.4g. Although most wifi setups have dual band so you probably have the ability already, it’s not as easy as toggling a button to turn on. You gotta locate your IP address on your router, and do this and that, create a password and blah, blah, blah…. I’m not technologically gifted though I’ve always managed to set up my own surround sound, speakers, tv, dvd player, and pretty most all electronics & wiring. Now that wifi is involved, I’m lost and customer service doesn’t help because half the time I don’t even know what they’re referring to when they explain what to do. I was easily able to get the camera/monitor to work w out the app but since I’m on 5g w out 2.4g set up previously, I’m SOL for use when out n about. I really had high hopes for this camera/monitor which I wanted to use to keep an eye on my pup. My other complaint is that no matter what I did, I got a horrible high pitched sound (like feedback but there was nothing to cause it) when I’d turn on the monitor mic while it was not stationary. I tried it everywhere-in every room- and the sound wouldn’t stop. The sound would consistently become lower when I placed the monitor on the counter but came back as soon as I picked it up again. Annoying. I finally turned off the mic altogether which kinda sucks as far as being able to hear what’s going on. The picture was great and the night vision was above fair. It’s not a bad camera whatsoever but not an easy set up due to the issue I had. I’m afraid unless you are somewhat tech savvy or set up dual band when you initially obtained wifi, it may be a big hassle for you too. This camera works best when placed in a higher, further back location. If you’re too close to what you’d want in the frame, zoom won’t work though the feature does work wonderful. I was very unhappy w the included manual. It lacks any specific detail. It says to turn on the camera & monitor but other than telling you where the on button is located, they leave it up to you to guess whether to push it once or hold down for 2-3 seconds. Any idiot can figure it out but people really shouldn’t have to waste time guessing these things. The manual also doesn’t say how long to charge the monitor or how you know it’s done charging. Little details that are pretty important (and basic) are left out. I found myself having too many unanswered questions. There was also this little red battery icon that kept popping up on the screen every few seconds. I know it wasn’t to let me know the monitor needed to be charged because I’d just fully charged it. (It would’ve been nice for the manual to state whether it comes already charged or not,, etc). I think maybe it’s to let you know the monitor is still powered on so you don’t lose battery power? Again…you don’t know because the manual doesn’t state this or too much else! I can’t believe they’d put out a product w out such basic info for the consumer. 3 stars because although it works as intended, it’s a hassle if you’re not someone w the skills to set up and ensure to run it w 2.4g. I’ll be returning this ASAP and purchase a different brand (hopefully one w a better manual) w out wifi. At least I’ll know I won’t have to worry about it not working if wifi service is down or sketchy.UPDATE: Seller saw I wasn’t happy and reached out to see what they could do to ensure I was happy. Rarely do I get this type of customer service on Amazon or elsewhere. I was initially upset I had to use 2.4g not 5g for the wifi service which meant since I’m not set up for both, I wouldn’t be able to use it other than w the monitor. I decided to keep it and have my wifi provider come and set me up w 2.4g too when they service my router next week. I’ll update after using for awhile as to how well it works! As for the seller, top notch!

So far, the best camera I've tried
I've had this camera for about a week or so, and it has exceeded my expectations. I've tried two other different brands and this one (for about the same cost) is the best yet. The image is really sharp, so I can tell if my baby's eyes are closed or open when I'm waiting for her to fall asleep at night. There's no more than maybe one second delay on both the monitor and the app feed, which is awesome compared to the other brands that I had which were at times even 5-7 seconds behind, and this is important when you hear a "bang" from the room nextdoor and want to know if she just dropped a toy or you need to run over because she fell. The app is really easy to set up and use, and I love the cloud storage and recordings that you can scroll through while watching for the moment you're looking for. It's almost like a rewind or fast forward with picture, unlike on other cameras where I had to open each video separately and wait for it to load before seeing if that's the one. The microphone also ACTUALLY WORKS, and is loud enough for my baby to hear me really clearly, again unlike the other cameras I've used in the past. I also emailed customer service just to confirm that I have a warranty and they responded within a couple hours and went above and beyond with explaining even the things I didn't think to ask. So far, if I could give 10 stars, I would. I'm definitely recommending this baby monitor. It's worth every penny.
