The fact is Stainless Steel is almost 2 times the cost of Mild Steel"but" it will last 5 times longer. No matter what type of rock,brick or stone you are using when building a fire pit you must have a liner or insert to reflect the heat away from the stone building material.It is our opinion that if you use any material other than Stainless Steel you are throwing your money away.Stainless Steel will reflect the heat much better than all mild,cold rolled or hot rolled steels. I have a life time burn through warranty.In other words hi heat or moisture will never cause our liners to fail. We also make the same style of square fire pit 30" x 30" x 2" and top flange.Also 40" x 40" x 2" Top Flange.
