AC 100-240V to DC 12V 10A Power Supply Adapter AC DC Converter 12 Volt 10Amp 120W Power Supply for 5050 3528 WS2811 LED Strip Module Light

Overall I am very pleased with this power supply.I purchased this Item to power a 12 V RGBWW LED strip containing 600 LEDs. At full brightness, the strip draws over 5 amps, so I needed a pretty beefy power supply. It was able to drive my LED strip no problem – the power supply didn’t even get warm.This item arrived quickly and in good condition. It was well packaged. It is fairly standard an appearance but is a bit larger than you might expect – see photos. The AC power cord is about 45 inches long and is a fairly standard appliance cord that is used on many televisions, computers, etc. It can be removed for easy storage or if you want to swap it out for a longer power cord or if you want to use the power cord for a different appliance. The DC power cord is about 40 inches long and uses a standard 2.1 mm center positive barrel connector that is used in many other 12 V applications. For example, it fits the jack on the Arduino Uno perfectly. One nice thing about this power supply is that it includes a 2.1 mm center positive barrel jack with screw terminals so you can easily wire it to your project.When plugged in, it stays cool and power is indicated by a nice blue LED. According to my kill-a-watt meter, it draws 10 mA without load so it won’t waste too much power if you leave it plugged in while you’re not using it.In summary, I am very pleased with this power supply. It does everything I need, and nothing I don’t.

I gave it 4 stars because is does appear to be a good power supply. I to does not seem to meet all of it's specs though. The most I could get out of it was about 96 Watts (8 Amps) for about 10 minutes. After about 10 minutes it dropped it's output voltage. Maximum continuous power was only 72 Watts (6 Amps). Air temperature was 70 degrees and the unit got fairly warm but not too hot to touch. The protection circuitry in it appears to work but do not expect to get 120 Watts continuous out of it.

Can't speak to its longevity yet but initial review is good. Pushes the Alarmpore LED RGBW 120 LEDs/Meter strip without an issue, and at a fraction of the cost of similar power supplies. I liike that it comes with an adapter to let you hook wires to it in case your controller doesn't have a plug in.

Works Great! Feels heavy duty. Powers the dual RGB+WW led strip no problem. Plug and Play. Also includes a small adapter to go to screw terminals.
