Improvement over factory head strap
This is better than the head strap that came with my Oculus because it takes away the front-loading effect and distributes the weight more evenly over your head and balances it out. I'm not crazy about the battery location though because it adds just a little weight to one side and detracts from the balance that the rest of the mask achieves. It's not terrible, but I think it would be better if it were moved to the back of the headset to keep it balanced better.

Much Easier to take on and off than the quest 2 elite strap
The adjuster button and dial are much much easier to operate than the quest 2 elite headband and much more comfortable. The only thing I wish is that the extra battery wasnt a clip on, but rather had its own designated sling or tray on the strap to slide and lock into. Instead you just have to push it over the headband. All in all, a very good product, and much lighter than the elite headstrap!

Flimsy
I really wanted this strap to work. It is definitely easy to install, there is nothing hard about it, however it is so flimsy once it is on. It doesn’t stay on properly, it keeps falling off, and actually falling apart. Not impressed at all.

Brilliant but missing parts
As for comfort its amazing, sadly I was missing two clips from the rear silicon support. Two on one side none on the other. I found a solution to this by removing one and put it diagonally to the other. Not ideal but it works and haven't had any problems so far. Only knocking off 1 star due to the above. Need to improve Q&C if you want repeat business.

Surprisingly Comfortable & Solid!
This is extremely comfortable and balances the weight of the Oculus perfectly. I wasn’t expecting much but the build quality and overall durability are quite promising. The easy-to-use twist dial that allows you to get in and out of the headset easily is a thankful feature. This is great as it allows for multiple users to switch the headset easily and quickly without the messing around you would have to do with the original and others I have used. The bulk of the battery pack is quite noticeable if you play any games connected to your PC while stationary in a chair but it shouldn’t be too much of a concern. This one is really great for getting that "just right" fit and angle for those who are quite particular. The battery life is great. On a full charge, you can play for at least up to 6 hours depending on the game of course. It's comfortable and nicely padded on the back where the battery sits so long periods of usage are not a problemIt's an easy install on the oculus and It seems to even the load on your face from the weight from front to back making wearing the oculus more comfortable as mentioned. All in all, I would highly recommend this head strap. It is solid most importantly comfortable!Hope this review helps.

Strap good, battery crap
The strap replacement is really good and makes switching players easier. It's very comfyThe battery however, is rubbish. It has unnecessary RGB lighting, but more than that, it charged once, was used and then never charged again. The strap itself is worth the price, but having a battery to dispose of is annoying.

How much????
For the current very premium asking price of £69.99 I would Expect a premium product and experience. Unfortunately you don’t get this. The box is a bland brown box and instructions are very poorly written and made. The top strap is cheaply done with a rather poor sparsely padded head strap with paper thin straps that won’t last long. The battery slips onto the replacement headband arm but the manufacturer has not made the battery case the same shape even let alone deep enough to fit over the headband arm and you have what looks like a home project. It’s a shame as this could be so much better if the padded strap and battery case was made to a better standard.Keeping in mind this is a £69 product, would I buy this? No I would not and would be very disappointed if I had

Decent enough quality. Rated capacity more like 2,700mAh. Affects headset balance
The first and possibly one of the most important aspects of this head strap & rechargeable battery setup and that is the battery capacity. The capacity is stated as 4,000mAh, which is no doubt correct, but this isn’t the power you get out of the battery. It is the power it holds. The important figure is the “rated capacity”, what you get out. I can’t find anything on this in the little information that comes with it but there is a calculation that can be used. In this case it’s 3.7V X 4000mAh ÷ 5V. We then get 2,960mAh. It’s actually going to be less than that, as some power is lost in converting the power. As a general rule, if you take the rated capacity as being approx. 2/3rds of the capacity, it’s a good guide. Although some can be as efficient as 90% and others as inefficient as 60%. If we work on around 2,666mAh as the rated capacity, then you have a much better idea of how long it’s going to power the Quest 2.I did check how fast the battery was charging with the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable and it was charging at 1.93A – I would class anything equal to or above 2.4A to be fast-charging. There are three blue LEDs at the charging port end that show the battery status. The cable is nylon braided and should be quite durable and when not in use, there a blank port to put the USB-C connector in for storage. When you turn the battery on, a oblong LED light comes on and scrolls through different colours. The battery simply slides onto one of the side arms. The over-the-head head strap is nicely padded and is attached and adjust by the way of Velcro straps. At the rear is the adjuster ring, to lengthen or shorten the arm length.Overall build quality does look to e decent enough, although I’m unable to comment on how well this is going last in the medium to long-term.The only slight downside and not an unexpected one is that the balance of the headset is affected by the battery. Something you wouldn’t have with a rear mount battery setup.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.
