My well has a lot of sediment so I used this unit first in line before the spin down and whole house filters. Made a huge difference. Easy to replace the filter bag and filters out 90 percent of sediment going to my other filters.

I have purchased two of these filter housings and they have had no issues at all. I do not use the spring tensioner for the bag sometimes even and it still works great!

So far it seems to be a well-built filter housing but the problem is the description is horrible. It seems to be a generic description that does not correspond to the larger filter housing that I ordered. None of the pipe diameters were correct and the filter size was not correct so After I got the housing, I had to return what I had previously purchased in anticipation of getting it installed right away and go purchase new fittings. All said and done, everything is good

I've used larger, higher-priced filter housing like these in my business and thought that this cheaper one would fit the bill for occasional home use where it is tough to justify a $1000 expenditure. Wrong. The quality is low, with obvious scratches made on the interior where the machinist slipped while polishing it. The bigger issue is that there is a gap between the wall and the bottom side of the bag support ring, where it is very hard to reach. The gap is packed with grease which I am finding very difficult to remove. This gap will also be a place for dirt to collect in use and will be virtually impossible to keep clean. This gap shouldn't exist, there should be a smooth weld instead. The whole thing was filthy, with a lot of black grease and metal shavings inside and out. The included filter bag is unusable because they put it inside the greasy housing, so it has grease on it. Maybe some people think it's OK to drink residual grease. I'm not one of those. Unless you have hours to spare using solvents to try to get all the grease off of this, just spend the extra cash on something made to higher standards.

Built better than the thousand dollar filter holders we have bought in the past. (We use these types all the time). This comes with not only the metal screen but also with the filter bag (#4 standard) Highly recommend.

Needs a good cleaning when it arrives, but it seems to be mostly dust. The ports for the pressure gauge and valve don't appear to be 100% sanitary, but it's not too bad either. For the 2.7 sq. ft. version, the inlet and outlet are 2" female NPT, not 1.5" as advertised. Overall, for the price, it's very good.

It’s the best filter system for my project. I couldn’t ask for any better.

Build quality is decent considering its orgin. External fittings are 2" nptf and NOT 1.5" npt.
