Best Tinted (facial) Sunscreen yet (w/ TLDR)
I've likely gone through 30+ different facial sunscreens in the past year and half, including but not limited to: 5 of EltaMDs, Neutrogena, 3 of La Roche Posay, Cerave, Cetaphil, 3 of Blue Lizard, 3 of SuperGoop, Waxhead, Suntegrity, etc.) trying to find the most optimal one for my needs. Although I found an everyday chemical Korean one which is not staining but not waterproof, I still wanted one that I could use for physical/sweating activities as well, and something that could color blend my face nicely together as a man. And this Stream2Sea Tinted right here is the one. Pros: - EWG Verified, one of only a few tinted zinc sunscreens that is - Never pills (Out of 11 tinted zinc sunscreens, this is the only one with no piling for me. Take this with a grain of salt though, I've seen reviews say that before but I didn't have the same experience as them) - High Zinc Oxide % = Better UV-A Protection (my main concern is UVA Spectrum coverage) - Included anti-oxidants, having free radical protection is an often overlooked factor of sun protection that needs more attention as it damages skin - Price (at time of purchase): $~11/oz, very comfortable pricing (compared to EltaMD of $~21/oz) - Excellent tint tone, can blend with different skin colors - I don't believe this feels greasy - No skin irritation on me - Sunscreen does not "crack" when stretching skin like EltaMD does (stretching as in opening mouth to eat, yawning, etc.) Neutral/No Factor: - Moisturizing factor not noticed, as I apply a moisturizer 3-5 min beforehand - Higher UV protection in water was not applicable in my situation, have not gone swimming with this - This product comes out thick, but does not necessarily go on as thick - No added fragrance but!: smells like what you think zinc would smell like, I personally enjoy it. Either way, not noticeable after application - Needs more effort and slight increased time to spread and blend to skin, not substantial though Cons: - Can stain clothing (all tinted mineral sunscreens will stain unfortunately, so don't wear this with white clothing please!) - Hard to remove, but this is common with waterproof sunscreens. Face wash does not do the trick, needs either more physical rubbing or a makeup remover like Garnier (works perfectly) - Too shiny, not enough to be concerning but definitely noticeable I am a Pilot, and while I can't wear this sunscreen with any uniform as it will stain it, it works phenomenally with my general aviation flying. On hot summer days in Arizona where the sun is blasting and the airplane cabin is toasty, this sunscreen does not fail me despite all the sweating on my face and neck. Further more, I have never noticed any sun burns with this. The color of the tint is fantastic for my skin, and I think for others as well. It does not make you look like an oompa loompa (*ahem Waxhead ahem*), nor is the tone too cold. A universal blend. Although the perfect sunscreen can never exist, as everyone has their own needs and desires, I believe I have found the closest thing to a "golden sunscreen", and because of that - I will continue to use this indefinitely (or until a better one is found). Pictures - 1: Bottle 2: Hand before application 3: Hand after 5 seconds of rubbing in (please ignore my lack-of-tan where my would-be watch is, my actual hand in the picture is my typical showing skin color) ------------- TLDR: After 11 tinted sunscreens, this is my favorite one. Strongly recommended to purchase to give it a try. Very fair pricing, great sweat protection, healthy ingredients, strong UVA protection, low risk of skin allergic reaction. Will recommend to family and friends! ---- Edit: March 2024 - Hi everyone, after some research I found another sunscreen which will replace this one for my daily use. It's a European one called UVMune 400 by La Roche-Posay. It has the best chemical protection of the last 380-400nm wavelength (longest UVA, most contributive to wrinkles). But!!! That one is only a special order through an international website. So, while my new replacement can't be ordered from any US websites or Amazon, I will still continue to recommend this tinted sunscreen as your go to for a USA-made sunscreen. As the European one is quite pricey to import, I don't want to use it as much as I want. Therefore, I will still use this tinted one on my face for any sports/beach activities. Plus Zinc Oxide isn't harmful or absorbed either!

Scores 98% on Yuka app for ingredients
I have bought this three times I wish it came in more shades so everyone could experience it. It makes my skin look so dewy and even. Amazing sun protection and I have confidence knowing that these are clean ingredients given it scored 98% excellence on the Yuka app. Between living in Florida and living in Ohio I’ve worn it on a daily basis for two years straight. I’ve gotten so many compliments. I apply it with my hands blend out the rest with a beauty sponge if needed, and put concealer on and then I layer the rest of my products on top like blush, highlighter, etc. it looks amazing. This product single-handedly has gotten me off foundation.

Best sunscreen ever for face
I am not a review person but this product is exceptional. I did lots of research on environmental working group prior to purchasing. It comes up highly rated and safe for the skin and environment. I have been using zinc oxide straight with a tinted sunscreen over it but not getting terrific results because it’s heavy, greasy and leaves a white cast Plus I don’t know how much of the zinc oxide is being absorbed into my skin and guessing it’s not non-nano. I just finished my first application over my skin care products and it went on beautifully. It feels completely weightless, leaves a nice matte finish along with a bit of a healthy glow. I have fair skin and the neutral shade blends in very well, I can’t see any white like I normally would. It also leaves the skin looking nice and moisturized, seems like my wrinkles and fine lines aren’t as obvious, I am 74. I am sold on this product and will never go back to any of the sunscreens I have been using on my face. I will also use this on my body but get the appropriate formula for that. This is fantastic, I can’t say it enough. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Try it and you’ll love it.

Effective but ...
It's effective but difficult to apply. It is a thick paste, unlike anything I've ever tried before. It takes a while to absorb and some areas don't absorb. When they don't, the white paste does not simply rub away easily. I am hopeful that the brand is truthful about its "reef safe" claim, as that is the primary reason why I bought it and would recommend it.

ZERO White Cast! Feels Great On Face!
UPDATE 11/4/25 Still using this product and loving it. I mentioned in the original review to use micellar water for removal. I was using it but it was way too drying and stripping for my face. I found THE PERFECT REMOVAL CREAM EVER! I use it to take this suncreen off my face and it's fantastic. It's called Kook-Off (Google it or search on Amazon). All I know is that while not cheap, a little goes a long way. It's perfect for mineral sunscreens or makeup removal (wife uses it). It in no way is harsh for our skin. Just follow the directions. And no, I am not affiliated with that company. Just a satisfied customer! Original review: Using only on face. Fantastic sunscreen both from a sunblock and tint perspective. Goes on thick but rubs in nicely. I have NEVER used a tinted zinc sunscreen, but decided to try it after countless white cast issues with every other mineral brand, including those marketed as "clear" zinc. The search is over. This one will be my first, and now last tinted mineral find. I mean, there is ZERO white cast left on the skin with this product. The downside? For removal, it's basically a must requirement to use a micellar water based makeup remover product, such as wipes or the Garnier micellar water with cotton pads. Comes right off but won't with water and soap. At least for me. But it is an extra expense.

Cool Product Idea but Unsatisfying Experience
I love the ingredients, biodegradable composition, and intention behind this sunscreen, but my experience with it has been unfortunately less than ideal. The sunscreen does not smear well and is challenging to spread on your skin, leaving you looking pasty white. The product also has a bit of a funky smell that stays in your skin for a day or two after you use it, making the experience unfortunately less than positive. I am hoping the sunscreen's composition gets improved and I can one day use it again.

Clean, effective, and blends in pretty well
Great ingredients, effective. It has the best rating on EWG. I mix the tinted and the white to get an even better match for my skin tone. It even smells like food – olive oil, bread dough, a little chocolate. It’s good stuff. It’s good and thick and also fairly oily, like other clean mineral sunscreens I’ve tried. Applying a more moderate amount works pretty well to mitigate the oiliness, or I will put on a heavier layer, let it soak in, and then blot up the grease. It’s been working great for me.

My favorite so far
I have tried a lot of different mineral sunscreens. A few I hated, a few I liked and a few I loved. This by far is my favorite. Even the ones I loved left a greasy look on my face. This doesn't. This also had the white cast fade the absolute quickest of any I have ever tried. Company has a good reputation, ingredients are awesome. Reef safe. Skin safe. Looks like this is the only one for me from here on out.
