Stainless steel at a good price. Recommended!
Excellent item! I bought this to replace my old, aluminum urn. It worked perfectly; 20 cups of coffee in about 20 minutes. Keep in mind that the cup size is more like 5 to 6 ounces, not our jumbo mugs of today :-).The coffee was nice and hot and the urn stayed hot for several hours without scorching. Clean up was very simple. This was the least expensive stainless steel urn I could find and it met my expectations in every area. It has a two year warranty and if I have to replace it at some point, it won't break the bank.

Didn't Last
Nice looking and worked great for about 6 uses. It stopped heating. Would not buy again. This was used forspecial dinner events so we got hardly any use out of it. Very disappointed

Heats Quick
I bought this to make hot chocolate in the mornings at work. When it arrived I thought it was really small but when I added almost 2 gallons of water to it, I realized that it holds plenty! The water heated in about 15 minutes or less. The water stayed hot till late afternoon. Probably not hot enough for coffee but they were still making hot chocolate with the water in it at lunchtime and it was plenty hot. I did post a sign next to it that says not to touch the sides because it is very hot. Adults are fine with it but I was afraid a child might get hurt if they touched it. The top cap locks so if it were to dump over it probably would not spill on someone. I have not tried to make coffe in it and I probably won't because I only want it for hot water for chocolate and instant soups.

Better than expected
I was a little hesitate to purchase this because of some of the reviews but I am very pleased with this coffee maker. It is working well for my family. We are a large family and the coffee is ready moments before we wake up and we also use it to make our evening hot teas. I don't have any complaints.

Coffee leaks everywhere
This coffee maker leaks coffee. I can't determine where from. All I know there is coffee all over my counter. It makes good coffee. It is just constant cleaning

Pros and cons listed below
PROS-worked well while it lasted-great volume-great look-can't beat the price-water stays hot-stainless steel is much better then aluminum(healthwise)-cleans well inside with water and vinegarCONS-broke in under 2 years(1yr and 8mths)...they don't make things to last anymore-they do not sell replacement parts so if it breaks (the plastic tab that you press for water flow snapped)The whole thing is garbage because repair places can't get the part to fix it-if it breaks during the warranty time you have to return the whole huge thing for a replacement because they will not just send you a replacement part-stainless steel exterior was really thin. When emptying it to clean it it dented really easily so you have to be very careful when tipping it to empty the last of the water.I wanted to give it a 3 because of the replacement part issue and because it should have lasted more then 2 years but to be nice I gave it a 4 because the price is good. But seriously, if it is not going to last price is not that relevantI am deciding on what to buy now and hesitant to buy it again because I want something that will last. I don't know if this is a common issue

Not so good for tea--water tube too long
The first thing I noticed was that the cover wouldn't fit on. The problem is that the water tube is about 1/4" too long and the basket sticks up too high. This wasn't so much of a problem for me as I intended to use it for tea water and could leave the basket out. The manual claims that it will heat water up to 185' and keep it hot. A cup that came out right after the light went on was only 150º. Three hours later the water was only 125º. This is not hot enough to brew tea. On the good side: the spout did not leak and it looks pretty nice. Nice size for ocasional use at home for parties. I sent it back as It was not adequate for tea. Also, you shouldn't have to modify a product to make the cover fit.
