Can I unplug this overnight to save power on my electric generator while camping? would the insulation be enough to keep food cold (not frozen)?

I have not tried unplugging it overnight...I am off greid using solar power. During the day I solar charge a 300 watt hour powewr station, which runs the fridge all nit...even set as a freezer. Shopping carefully, you can find a decent poeerr station ln the 300 watt hour range at Amazon, under about $200 or less...which can be charged at home...AC....or via your vehicle cigarette socket. A solar charging panet would also work...under $100. More info needed, let me know!

Does ICECO APL55 have any sort of protection agains elements? Can it travel in the open truck bed and left outside like ARB Elements?

Absent any info on this in the manual, I presume NO...do not leave it outside. Dust, heat, rain etc.

I just bought this chest and plugged and waited a couple of days before plugging it in. I ran it for around six hours, and it got to zero degrees within a half an hour (chest was empty) and is extremely quiet. I plan to set this inside my RV for supplemental freezer space while camping and fishing. I am very impressed so far.

How many watts draw per hour?

This is a loaded question based on the variables that cause various amounts of compressor run time. My wife and I use it as a single zone set at 35 degrees eco with all of our groceries and we can get 88 hours from Jackery 1000 average temp for the trip was 72 degrees. I know that’s not what you asked, it wasn’t in a perfect controlled environment and we didn’t just have 2 bottles water in it. We only used maximum to get to 35 degrees then switched to echo for the rest of the trip. We are crazy impressed with ours. We have it on an ICECO slide in our gladiator. Good Luck.
