Great value OLED
Firstly I would point out this is a Which? Best Buy so probably that will seal it for most folks as Which? test rigorously to compare and only the best get the Best Buy award. All LG OLED tvs are Best buys but this one is the so called entry level one - or the cheap one- but it is a quality product with a few niggles but the price compensates for this. At £799 (65 inch) it was a steal. Now is the best time to get a discounted 2024 version just as the 2025 ones come on sale and at about 2 grand for a newer model; it's a no brainer. Picture quality is as good as it gets to me and given it is sitting in a bright sunny room with multiple reflections it copes really well. Sound quality is also great but I attached my soundbar pretty swiftly after set up. I also was impressed with the stand which looks better in real life than in the photos. A previous lg tv I had had wobbly/ flimsy legs it was a miracle it never toppled over. I did encounter some issues with the web software as it conflicted with my fire stick but the apps themselves were responsive on the lg remote I found. Set up was reasonably easy I would suggest. I could not recommend this TV and OLEDs generally enough and believe LG are about the best out there if I had to pick a brand. To see sub £1000 OLEDs now makes them even more affordable than ever and a necessary upgrade.

Great TV, easy to install and set up
This LG 4K OLED TV was a major upgrade from our 15 year old Panasonic which was still working fine but lacking in smart features. Had the LG mounted on the wall and working in less than an hour. Picture quality is great. Smart apps were easy to download and use giving a huge range of viewing options. Even the standard Freeview picture quality is fine: UHD streamed services look incredible. An unexpected surprise was that my music streaming service (Tidal) is also supported giving access to a huge library of videos in addition to the sound. TV sound seems OK but I have a cinema sound system which works seemlessly with the TV and is obviously better. This TV seems to be competitively priced and was even better value during Amazon's Spring Sale week.

A great TV at a great price
This is a great TV that, for the price point, delivers a great picture quality and brightness, sound and functionality (much better than our previous Samsung). OLED is definitely superior to LCD which we had previously (backlight failed). The thin bezel really adds to the overall feeling of quality. The feet let it down a bit in terms oglf quality but I think their more minimalist look actually works better than the stand that comes with the next model up. Can't comment so much on the remote as we use the Sky one. Integration with Sky remote is ok (sometimes TV does not switch on the Sky box). Shame the screen saver can't be shown without the NoSignal message! Update: you can now remove the message from the screen saver 😊

Superb LG TV
Simply love the update to my half-smart previous TV. Prompt and secure delivery at excellent price. Relatively easy for this septuagenarian to set up with set-top box for live TV and internet for so many other options (too many actually!). Undoubtedly the best picture within this price range and superb sound - although I wish that there was better balance between the volume presented by the different channel options but that is probably down to the broadcasters.

It's good
I spent hour agonising over which TV to buy, and promised I would come back and write a review after I had owned it for a few months. Short answer: extremely pleased with this TV, and pretty confident I made the right choice. The picture quality is superb. A lot of reviews complained that the sound quality was a bit so-so, but I have certainly not found that (I was all prepared to buy a sound bar if the sound quality was poor, but that hasn't been necessary). Aesthetically it is very pleasing - super slim, and looks good even when turned off. I don't use it for gaming - just watching regular TV - but it has been really great. If there is one niggle I would flag up it would be the software/operating system. It's a bit clunky and annoying. It regularly stops you and asks to update an app or such like, and you need to create an LG account. If you use a cable box (like I do), it sometimes "loses" that option from the list of sources, and you have to claw around it to find it and restore it to the menu. None of it is hugely burdensome, but it feels like a slightly sub-optimal user experience. If someone from LG was to ask me what I'd improve, it would be that.

Best spent £639 ?
I had a basic Panasonic full HD LCD(=LED) before. OMG what an upgrade. This TV still surpprises me after half a year use. Today I had to check if the sound system is on, because the bass was too decent :) Pro: -remote contol way ahead of others, easy to use, good shape, size, battery life, combined infra/rf (works below the blanket), integrated mouse, scroll, microphone for voice search, programable buttons, quick buttons for netflix, prime,Disney+,Alexa, etc. -Picture quality is brilliant, beautiful colors, very good contrast, view angle. -Picture quality again :) (in dark room way ahead of LCD-s) -Built in sound is decent, clear, loud, some bass, can be used without sound system/sound system is not always needed. -Gentle for eyes compare to LCD-s (blue filter, good contrast with lower brightness) -Low energy usage, can be as low as 40W with low brightness, in dark room (by the way the TV always want to save energy to protect the oled panel) -It should work with alexa, but I do not use, because sometimes the TV went muted until disconnect from mains (software bug?, hopefully will be fixed). -one of the cheapest OLED, with very little compromise compare to (more) expensive models. Cons: -1 year warranty is a joke for a 1000GBP TV (starting price) -very weak thin glass, no supporting frame, has to handled very carefully (on the other hand it is pro, few mm thin most of the screen.) -Brightness is only good enough (not brilliant) for most rooms, but running on max brightness can lead to burn-in. -for console gaming it cannot handle 4k/60Hz HDMI input. -I had to subscribe for Netflix :D

An easy recommendation.
LG OLED A2 55" Review: Note: I picked this TV up from a third-party Amazon seller for £759. (November 2022) Through reading online reviews before my purchase, the major issue I had seen noted was that the OLED display of this TV was not bright enough. From hands-on experience, this is not true. The screen is more than bright enough for the majority of use cases. This may only be an issue if you place the TV in a room with lots of sunlight, e.g. a conservatory. The TV design is sleek. It is thin, light and has small bezels which is great. WebOS is easy to navigate and has an almost unlimited range of capabilities paired with its app store. Additionally, the cursor is a nice addition with the ‘Wii’ style point and click system. I suggest anyone to go into the settings and turn down the sensitivity of this however as it's hard to get to grips with initially. The image quality of this TV is ludicrous. Our previous TV was a Plasma TV from 2010 which was 1080p. The step-up in quality is more than noticeable. After testing the TV for 10 minutes, it became impossible to go back as your eyes adjust to a new standard of clarity and color. As the display is OLED, the black levels are obviously flawless also, especially within nighttime footage. This TV is an easy recommend to anyone looking to get a new TV that will stand the test of time as more and more content is produced in 4K UHD HDR etc. Additionally I paired this with the Govee T2 Dreamview camera and LED system which is also a great addition to the display, extending the live image colors from the back of the TV.
