Songs Of Experience

At first listen I didn’t care for this album very much but upon repeated listenings it has become a favorite. U2’s music is changing and that’s very natural and real. I admire that their music is changing as they grow older. I listened to an album by Keith Urban recently and realized that he’s still writing the same songs he was as a young man- about sweet young girls, kisses in the back seat- very adolescent. I am not putting Keith down- he’s using a tried and true formula and that’s fine. I’m just contrasting that U2 is writing as older men and while it may throw many fans, I really like it. Also , the Songs of Experience packaging is extremely nice and priced very fairly

This vinyl version of the latest u2 album is a very collectible issue. The cyan blue limited and numbered rigid box includes two 180g translucent blue vinyl LPs inside a double gatefold jacket, featuring the now very popular picture of Bono's and The Edge's son and daughter respectively; , a 12" three pages double-sided unfolding lyrics sheet, a blueish 12pages newspaper with "this is no time not to be alive" headline; two metalic blue inner sleeves, in case you want to use them for the two LPs; a poster size picture of Dave Evans daughter and a band's picture on the reverse side; the deluxe digipack 2cd version of the album comes on the bottom of the box inside a centered rectangular holding space for the digipack. a download code for the whole album in digital format completes the package. Normally and originally this deluxe version sells for 99.99, but I was lucky enough to get it for as low as us$46, shipping fees to Mexico included (products price was only 36), so as for a 60% discount this was really a bargain. Very good product at very good price. Couldnt be more satisfied with this purchase.

The album itself is a great U2 album. From Track 1 to 13, every song provides something new and is a great journey into U2's eXPERIENCE. The album's highlight is track 9, 'The Little Things That Give You Away", I honestly get lost in this song as it is being played, its an instant U2 classic. But with that there are several great songs on this album. As for the boxset, its a little pricier than it really should be. You get the Deluxe version of the CD, and Vinyl, a newspaper with all of the song lyrics a poster and a digital download code. The box is limited edition and individually number, which is cool for a diehard fan, but you probably get by with getting the deluxe CD and if you want the vinyl as well buy it and still save money. Me as a diehard fan though, I enjoy it....just wish there was something unique to this set (music wise) instead just the newspaper, box, and poster.

A must for any U2 fan. It is one of the best vinyl box sets I have purchased.

This item is only the double LP. Not limited edition, not numbered, no CD, no additional content. Absolute sham. This buyer should be banned from selling items on Amazon. Spend tour money elsewhere. Not here.
