Purchased to play with grandchildren and learn how to bat. We went over to the fields across from where we live and just had great fun and even managed to bat the ball ( ha ha) The set is a good size, well made. It’s a long time since I’ve played rounders at school so I’m not sure if the size of the bat is on the small side or it’s simply because I’m a lot older and bigger than I used to be. All in all I am happy with my purchase. I don’t have anything to compare this with but the quality is good. Very happy customer.

I own several Jaques toys, and this rounders set is a welcome addition to the collection. Like all Jaques' toys, it is constructed to a high standard of quality. The bat is solid, but not heavy (my small 9 year old daughter had no problem using it). The four pegs are strong, but perhaps could do with being a little taller or of a different colour as they can sometimes be difficult to spot against the grass. The ball is firm but not hard, so my aforementioned daughter was able to catch people out without hurting herself. And a strong canvas bag in which to stow and transport it.

The set arrived promptly in a nice carrying case. We set up the game, the posts are a little short but perfectly adequate and the bat is very good, comfortable to hold and not too heavy. However, within an hour of starting our game (a mixture of people from age 2 to 82!) the ball started to split along the stitching. We were able to continue the game but I didn't think it would stand up to another game so contacted the company (Jaques) who sent me two replacement balls almost by return, a very good service. A fun game for all ages.

I was absolutely delighted with the rounders set when it arrived. It is beautifully made, the quality is fantastic - it's the way things should be made, classic, yet very strong so I know it will last. I liked the picture when I saw the set on Amazon but it was even nicer when it arrived. I was hoping the size would be okay for my son (7) and his friends and it was perfect! I can absolutely recommend this.

Very disappointed. The ball fell apart after half an hour and the handle on the bat started to fall apart too. Not worth how much I paid. Returned the item.

Great set but as with other reviews ball feel apart after one game and now needs to be replaced

We had such a great family time with this rounders set and no mobile phones in sight. We are still laughing about our rounders game several weeks later. A lovely quality set that looks as though it will last for many years. We added a childs set with a sponge ball so it would work for all age groups but I'm sure this set will be used by all the family for many years.

Sturdy rounders set which we soon put to good use when our granddaughter visited. She loved it. She also liked the carrying bag. Excellent product and well worth the price. Highly recommended.
