Q: Why has the sand formula changed since the packaging has changed? It has become much more dusty.

I agree it is most dusty and I think my hamster who is 12 months old, got a grain in his eye and developed eye infection. He had to be PTS as antibiotics didnt work and he lost his eye. Devastated so I am not using this ever again for hamsters.

Q: Can i use this for mice?

Good afternoon, Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding using our Bathing Sand product for mice. Please be advised that whilst this product is perfectly safe and fine to use with mice they will not have the natural instincts to use it as a dust bath in the same way that a Gerbil, Degu or Chinchilla would. Please feel assured that should you wish to place this with your mice it would cause them no harm, however they most likely won't use the sand.
