Will this work on an iPad?

Yes I'm sure it will work on iPad. It has a USB C to USB C connection. Assuming the iPad allows 3rd party mic connections.

Why is the country of origin China for the Sennheiser profile microphone? It is supposed to be Germany!

then your apple products should be made in america...almost all companioes outsource to china for cheaper labour

If I get just the mic and stand version can you screw the stand off and use your own boom arm or must you get the boom arm too?

You have to attach the circular stand to bottom of mount when you unpack. Is a standard arm mount screw so just attach to that instead. Fitted to arm from my blue yeti and fits perfectly. BTW this is a much better Mic than the yeti
