Decent iron but signs of cost cutting....
Replacing a Phillips Azur GC4567. Pretty much the same, other than this one is 2800w instead of 2600w. There are signs of cost cutting though. The cable is only 2m instead of 2.5m & no water jug. Temperature dial used to be rubberised, now it’s just hard plastic and harder to grip. The packaging is only just sturdy enough to survive delivery via mail order, wasn't in great shape when it arrived, but no damage to the iron..

Not available in this country???
It's a good iron. It came with lots of multi-language sheets of small print on thin paper. A search for a pdf on the Philips website for DST7020, the code on baseplate, revealed that "this model is not available in this country".It's pretty simple but from experience steam irons can get calcification problems so it is vital to have good clear instructions in a durable format available for the whole family including teenagers and grandparents. This model has as reputation for not spitting, which is a blessing. I think this is because the steam is generated in a tank, not by water being boiled when it hits the plate. Good design. In the reviews there are many variants, in features and colour. The model I have has a decalcification tank.

My New Favourite Iron
I recently upgraded to the Philips 7000 Series Steam Iron, and it's been a game-changer. The 2800W power heats up quickly, making ironing sessions faster and more efficient. The continuous steam output of 50g/min and the powerful 250g steam boost effortlessly tackle stubborn creases, even on thicker fabrics. The SteamGlide Elite soleplate glides smoothly over clothes, and I appreciate the vertical steam feature for refreshing hanging garments. The sleek black and gold design adds a touch of elegance to my laundry routine. The only minor downside is that it's a bit on the pricier side, but considering its performance and features, I believe it's worth the investment.

Doesn't iron even on hottest temperature, waste of money.
It should be O stars. This is a truly awful iron. The quality is less than what you would have with a £20 iron at the bottom of the market.Ironing on cotton, the hottest temperature, I was thinking, "Why won't it iron, everything looks wrinkled still". I put my hand to find it irons at a ridiculously tempid temperature almost cold and that's its hottest setting.I tried fiddling with all the settings and it's the same, it's a dreadful iron.It reminds me of being a teenager with a really cheap iron and a huge amount of elbow grease and still nothing every looked nice.If you want an iron with the quality of this one, see if you can find something under £20 but even then I doubt it will perform as badly. My last iron was a Phillips and it was a dream so I automatically went for the Phillips, but it's so bad it's not even worth taking to a charity shop and someone lugging it home only to find it irons nothing at any temperature.I will never by a Phillips iron again after this experience, I've come on to look for a different make and order an iron that works.

Man why a wiring so short?
This must be the best iron I have ever own. Glide withe ease, a bit on a heavy side, and the steam is ok when using on the ironing table, not really powerful enough for up-right use.But guys!!! Why is the wire so short !!! I can't hardly goes to the end of my ironing table. Therefore I have to use an extension to be able to iron with ease, doesn't make this appliance very safe, make sure to have your extension fused.

Room for improvement.
A very good Iron for doing the ironing, however, the cord is a little short and the plug difficult to grasp when pulling out of the socket. Also, the grip of the handle is smooth and slippy, particularly if using hand cream, and would be better by being textured.
