Saved hundreds in plumber costs.
This product worked as described and better than I hoped. I removed a broken and stuck outer section of a Moen 1200 faucet cartridge that had over 40 years of mineral deposit build-up from well water. After watching a couple of YouTube tutorials I ordered this tool. Used in combination with a 1/2 inch nipple extractor (internal pipe wrench tool) to twist the cartridge free, it was easy to pull out the cartridge piece without scratching or damaging the internal water pipe. The longer smaller diameter shaft has a retractable button which pops up into holes inside the old Moen cartridge when inserted, locking in place and allowing you to use the wider wrench section as T-handle and pull the cartridge straight out. Probably save a couple of hundred dollars in plumber cost. Plus, I ordered from Amazon around 4:30PM and received it before 2PM the next day. Other local hardware stores did not have a similar product in stores, and would have taken a couple of days to deliver.

Better value and functionality than the official tool
Get this tool instead of the “official” Moen cartridge puller! The Moen puller only works by screwing into the handle shaft and pulling. If you have a broken shaft, the Moen tool is useless. This Danco tool can do everything the Moen tool can and more! One end of the Danco tool still allows you to screw into the handle shaft of the cartridge so you can pull the cartridge out, but if your handle shaft has broken off, that’s where the 2nd function of the Danco tool shines! The other end is meant to pull cartridges out where the handle shaft has broken off.The Danco tool costs less than the official Moen tool too! No brainer, this is the tool to get!

Makes Cartridge Replacement So Much Easier
It was finally time to replace that leaky cartridge in our shower/bathtub after 38 years. It had been leaking out the handle and into the tub, so we let it go... We were completely unaware that it was leaking INSIDE THE WALL and water was dripping through the bathroom floor where the hole for the tub drain was... So homeowners, you might want to check that area for damage or mold! Just a little advice!!At first, I was nervous - aside from replacing a few toilets, I had no plumbing experience, and wasn't sure I could find the cartridge... But I did, and it was much cheaper than a new faucet and then paying a plumber to come put it in. I was able to tear apart the old faucet but I couldn't get the cartridge to budge no matter what I tried. I wasn't able to shut off the screw-type shutoff valves at the Moen head, but somehow wrenching on the cartridge got it to seal better (and not leak) until I could get this tool.A similar tool cost between $60-80 from the box-store home improvement stores, and that was ridiculous for something I might use a total of twice, and one reviewer said theirs broke during use, so I ordered two of them.I finally built up the courage to use the tool, turned the black plastic cap on the end to thread the rod into the stem of the cartridge. Amazingly, I barely had to exert any effort, the cartridge slid out perfectly easily! I don't understand it, I could NOT get the cartridge to budge without this tool. This step is where I expected to have issues, because the stems often come out and leave the housing behind. (I watched a LOT of horror videos of this repair on YouTube...)The directions are vague, and that's giving them far too much credit. Check out the repair videos on YouTube because there are some good videos to help you with the install if you've never done it before.

Don't buy this! It's garbage 💯
This is junk and the ends bend so easy. I got to use it once and broke . I've gone through 4 of them in my company and all broke after the first use. Look for the gold one they last forever and are stronger. This picture showed gold but is silver and BAD!

This generic puller got well tested
Ok so I am a plumber by trade (a repair plumber top be exact ) , i had a job to do where as the customer wanted to salvage his/her moen bath faucets (two) and one shower, they had issues with tghese fixtures drips for one thing and fixtures were getting hard to open , typical for moen old style fixtures found in many older homes built in the 60's -70's and early eighties), anyway they abandoned this particular bathromm because of the issues they were having and i mean for years and years, so i come along to fix these faucets and the shower , they are all frozen shut ( any plumberc will tell you that happens when you do not use or repair them ASAP, so rather than replace the lav faucets they want to save the old faucets and have them fixed including the shower , well i got all the cartridges out after a long stuggle , this tool survived the onslaught but it was as distorted and bent as one could imagine , so the puller did it's job but that was all the pulling it will do , now if i only knew where my old trusted moen puller had gone and if it was available how would it have stacked up to the task, anyway i say two thumbs up for this puller because it got the job done, even though it has gone to tool heaven sooner than expected!

The must have tool for plumbers.
I can’t think of how many times while changing a moen cartridge ( not posi temp) and have the stem pull out of the brass case. U have no choice but to cut the valve out of the wall and piss off your customer. This thing saves you from having to do that. Works great and had to recommend at a meeting to all my company plumbers as a must have.

Only Partial Useful
I purchased this tool before replacing a cartridge in the Moen Eva series bathroom sink faucet (2-handle) .The screw portion of the tool worked great for removing the cartridge itself. However, the prongs on the larger part of the tool were the wrong size to fit the grooves in the outer body portion of the faucet assembly (which must be taken out first in order to remove the cartridge). I had to resort to using needle nose pliers to remove the outer body, which wasn't nearly as easy as it would have been if this tool had fit properly. I'll keep the tool just to use for the screw handle portion, but the outer body removal portion was useless (unless I cut and file the prongs down to fit).
