Best children's oral health book I've found! Incredibly blessed to have gotten the opportunity to read this incredibly comforting, fun and inspiring book to a preschool class.. and a nightly read for my four year old son. This book is so sweet and reassuring for little ones who've already had dental work.. it lets them know it's okay and we can learn how to do our best. I especially loved that. I think it's of the utmost importance to ensure that children feel safe and comfortable.. and HEARD! Never shamed or made to feel guilty. Great job! This is a great book for kids to remember that they must brush their teeth. The rhyme also promotes literacy skills with children learning to read.

This was a very cute book to help teach toddlers about brushing, flossing and going to the dentist. It didn't have too much information in the book that the toddlers wouldn't understand but it also had good information for the kids to learn. I thought this was a great book. It also has great information in the back of the book as well.

If you know a child who needs a bit of help to motivate and encourage tooth brushing, take a look at this great book! I purchased this book because I know so many families with little ones who struggle with this. I wanted to share this beautifully illustrated rhyming story with them to introduce My Friend Toothy, for their little ones to begin to form a positive experience when brushing teeth. The Toothy is an adorable squishable that has a pocket for the tooth fairy and the mirror cling is a great reminder to brush every day.

My children love these little books. They thoroughly enjoy each and every story, as if they are all unique and individual without any cause for similarity among them. Even though sometimes, they might seem tedious and repetitive to me as a parent, I do enjoy being able to read short-stories to my children that are clean and respective.

This book would definitely be a 5-star book were it not for the weird incorrect pronoun used on one page. The whole book refers to 'toothy' in the singular but then on one page it's written: 'their name is toothy' and 'they'll be right there'. 'They will' is plural and refers to more than one. I'm not sure why the author would think this is ok to teach a child. We are not reinventing English. How confusing for a child. You can't refer to a singular in the plural. Let's be real. I've whited out the two incorrect pronouns and wrote 'he' in place which is generically used since toothy is a character and not an it. Of course you could use 'she' if you wanted to personalize it for a girl. But to call toothy a 'they' is just awkward and incorrect.With that nonsense out of the way, the book reads wonderfully. The story is great and the rhyming text on each page makes it a pleasure to read. My grandson loves when I read him this book and it's part of his bedtime routine.Also imho, I thought it would have been nice if it showed 'before' and 'after' pictures of Piper's mouth with and then without the sugar bugs. I feel that if a child only sees the one pic with sugar bugs it leaves that impression of them still being there.

Reading the book with our kids really helped get them to floss and brush with more care for the routine, amazing book, and relatable story. The little Toothy is so cute too.

A great rhyming book about good dental health care. The story really gets the message through about the importance of brushing your teeth and the illustrations beautifully complement the story. Highly recommended for parents struggling to get their children to take care of their teeth.

My son loves this book and has loved it since we bought it when he was 3 years old (he is now 5 and we still love this book). We keep the toothy sticker on the bathroom mirror and he is adamant about the importance of brushing and flossing. This is a cute children's story that makes an impression on young minds.When he was gifted a stuffed tooth from a classmate's parent, he immediately named it Toothy.

I got this for my 5 year old son and he loves it! It's important to teach children about brushing their teeth and also not being afraid of going to the dentist. Fun story. Great illustrations.
