STRICTLY BEDS&BUNKS Molly Midi Sleeper Cabin Bed, 3ft Single

I would like to start & say, that this is a very sturdy bed once put together but for an amateur, it will be tough.I think that the instructions could do with being revised a little, as it is not easy to navigate (others have said the same in the comments).Some of the ends of the wood were not quite finished but a little sand paper will fix that.I built this not using the glue that came with it, as we had some gorilla glue which made a real difference.My 6-year-old daughter is extremely happy with the bed & since getting it she has slept really well.

Firstly, the company phoned the day before delivery to give me a rough time of when they would be there. They arrived on time and the guy was very friendly and helpful. Secondly, the beds are really good wood, nice and sturdy. I assembled it by myself which took a long time so try to make sure you have 2 people to assemble. Can't fault the bed or the company at all.

Great value for money and a good sturdy bed for my 9 year old daughter. Not the hardest to put together but do read the instructions theydo help, as does the wife's valued input, they are both always correct when it comes to these things.

This is a really good solid bed, very easy to put together, very thick pine, only one down side, the ladder were a few centremeters short of touching the floor, it almost floated and didn’t seem strong enough, I had to purchase a small piece of pine and screw to the bottom back of ladder and to one of the bed legs, wasn’t really a major issue and not hard to do, but wanted to mention it

This was really tricky to follow the instructions to assemble the bed and believe me we have had our fair share of self assembly furniture in the years of having our kids.We even went online to view the videos which wasn't even helpful seeing as they wasn't even the same fittings as the bed we purchased!The Allen key that come with it was absolute turd too! And it rounded off a lot of the bolts so we had to sort that ourselves.Other than that it is a very chunky sturdy midsleeper very good we got it on a daily deal too so we got it about 90 pound cheaper than it was advertised for!The company was brilliant and they delivered when they said they would tracking was great too!We will definitely be buying another one of these got our daughter.But of advise for space saving parents tho the IKEA trofast staircase style unit does Not fit underneath.Would definitely recommend to the company in future they provide better Allen keys that don't round... Other than that brilliant!!!!

A few key points:Do not try to build this if you're on your own. It will not work that well. It'll be "fun" even with two of you.Do not try to build this in a small room or where getting it into the small room will be difficult. You'll spend multiple hours struggling to do either. You CAN do it, this was built in a room smaller than 7ft by 7ft, but it will make you want to cry and seriously you won't have the required space without a lot of issues.Do use a drill where you can. Your wrists will thank you. You're screwing directly into wood at times.If you're relatively small, say 5ft tall, this is going to be next to impossible unless you're super strong. I got my BIL to come around to screw the slats in because... too short, not strong enough, wrist basically dead. Powertools would help a bit on that front but the slats are still going to be difficult.Outside of those things, my experience with this bed has not been overall enjoyable. The instructions are not that clear at times, the ladder is slightly too short (and yes I followed the instructions, checked it twice, and compared it to the images - it could still be my fault though), the bolts were too tough for the allen key... actually they destroyed three of them, and there are definitely things that could be done to make this job easier but I suppose would also mean a more expensive product.On the more positive side, ignoring some slight damage to the wood (a burn mark that left me a little dubious the dowel would fit snuggly or securely since half the edge wasn't there- hopefully it has and the bed remains sound), the bed was in excellent condition, and the delivery experience was fantastic. And, as advertised, it has a large amount of clearance.It also feels relatively sturdy, although I haven't bolted it to a wall or slept in it or tried to make the bed yet, and placing two thin books beneath the ladder has somewhat stabalised it. It may be a correctable issue depending on how far "out" you are - and if you can persuade the hooks to come off - and I would advise doing so if you can.Providing it doesn't end up breaking, I'm happy enough, but if I hadn't got it on sale I may have been a little less impressed with how difficult I found it to put together.

After reading the reviews, I decided this bed was worth a go and very glad that I did. Having a bit of common sense and relatively good DIY skills, the bed was made in about two hours and the instructions were pretty easy to follow and interpret. The bed was for my very active six year old and the sturdiness of the bed is great, and coping with her easily. The bed was delivered before the estimated date and in my opinion is excellent value for money.
