Great item, great price
This is item is made from well casted cast iron. Item was well packaged and protected for transit. Instructions are basic but easy to follow (suggest two people are used to put item together, as this ensures you line up the sections correctly). Item is painted, but paint will burn off when used. It's iron, it will rust. Deal with it. My last one like this lasted over 10 years, money well spent.Top tip, for doors and legs put bolts in all holes, take a couple of turns on each bolt. Settle and line up sections then tighten up the bolts. Thanks for the great service.

Good product at reasonable price.
Box and polystyrene packaging was a bit damaged but all contents intact and no sign of damage. Instruction diagrams rather small. Assembly went well but hole for one of bolts filled with paint and needed drilling out to get bolt through, hence can't give 5 stars. The assembled product is sturdy and works well. Looks good too. Overall good value.

Adequate.
Hard to put together because not all the holes line up so it is poorly manufactured. Door is not brilliant and feels flimsy. Haven't used it yet but it looks nice. I agree with many other reviews about the quality of the fixtures and fittings but the main body is very solid.

Absolute value!
Very happy with this purchase. I have looked around at several places for a good chiminea and nothing has come close to this one. It arrived in less than a week and the suppliers kept me up to date with the expected delivery schedule. It looks great and is very sturdy and heavy! The only criticism I have is the instructions given to assemble it were very vague so guess work had to suffice, fortunately we seem to have got it right. Definitely worth every penny, absolutely great value. If you’re looking at buying this don’t think about it just buy it you won’t be disappointed.

Sturdy and strong!
This cast iron chimnea is great! I looked into all different types and reviews and the cast iron one came up trumps! It didn’t disappoint either. Easy to build, strong and sturdy aswell. I also purchased a raised grill on Amazon so I could cook some chicken and sausages before using it as a chimnea. Dual purpose! Don’t go for cheap metal ones or clay get the cast iron you won’t regret.

Good, but a few assembly problems
Once you've got this put together, it works well and looks good. The body and chimney are both cast iron, so it gives out a good, even heat. The doors are not so great, with naff catches and, in the case of the main door, a rather weak hinge, but they work. During use the paint gives off a bit of an unwelcome smell, but I expect (hope) that will disappear once it's been up to temperature a few times. You could use the grate as a small BBQ grill at a pinch, and I did try it. However, there's no height adjustment and the grate is not far above the bottom, so I ended up with burnt offerings.Assembly is a bit challenging. The instructions consist of three diagrams with numbered arrows pointing to the various parts. The numbers refer to the parts list. Unfortunately the diagrams are unnecessarily small and the print is rather fuzzy, so even with a magnifying glass they are difficult to make out. The three diagrams represent three steps, but each step involves assembling a lot of items. That wasn't a problem for me, but I can imagine those who are challenged by Ikea assembly instructions (which are broken down into more steps), will find this a serious obstacle. At least it doesn't require an unreasonably large selection of tools (though see below).I had a problem with fitting some parts. One of the handles on each side had a seam line that I had to file off, and the lower door didn't fit at all (unless I had been happy to leave it about 20 degrees off horizontal). When I had a moment, I filed the mounting holes in the door oval, so I could rotate the door back to horizontal. Finally, the bolt on the handle to this door was too long, which meant it made contact with the chiminea body, scraping the paint, and causing the handle to get extremely hot. I shortened it with the aid of a junior hacksaw.

Great item
Fast, efficient delivery.Assembly was very straight forward.Component parts good quality and substantial.Overall design is very good - lower air vent a great feature.Legs should spread a bit wider to improve stability. This is our fourth chimnea and is definitely the best - and at the lowest price!
