Great fit - narrow channel - easy assembly!
Our vinyl patio door screen channel was only 1/2 wide. I figure that out when I brought home a home depot screen door off the shelf. It looked terrible because it was bronze, too, but mostly it was 5/8" thick and wouldn't slide in the channel, so I found out that these were 1/2" and thought I would give it a try. Putting this together was pretty easy, because on the tube there is a QR code you can scan that brings up video of a lady putting it together. the hardest part is rolling that spline (rubber piece that you force in with the included roller, which stretches and holds the screen in place. You have to have a larger area to lay this down on the floor or a large table - and be careful to keep the screen square. It might help to tape a couple of corners if you are having issues. But it zipped together - took about 20 minutes (10 of those are on your knees.) Oh ... and if you are right handed go clockwise around the screen so it is closer and easier to put the spline in. if you go counterclockwise you are crossing over your body. I learned this the hard way. I also did the heavy duty pet screen. it is a little thicker, but it is fiberglass coated with the black plastic and very tough. It is a little more dense- but you can see out of it fine. Anyway - it fits and slides great! Very happy.

A great-looking door for a very good price.
The screen door looks great and works very well. Assembly was pretty straight-forward, though keeping the screen material stretched while you roll in the rubber seal is a bit tricky. It could help to have a second set of hands when you do it. Adjusting the rollers is pretty easy, though one of mine was a little bent and getting stuck on the edge of the frame. If you're having trouble with the rollers, make sure the metal bracket that holds the wheel is not getting bound up on the frame of the door itself. My screen door is an oversized/non-standard 93-inches, and if you walk into a retailer (Home Depot/Lowes/etc) they want over $400 for a custom built and pre-assembled screen door. I don't know about you, but that's a LOT of money for a screen door, and we're talking about just the cheap ones that normally cost $100 or less! This option from RitreScreen was not only significantly cheaper, but their customer service is great too! I upgraded the screen material to the PetMesh material, and it seems VERY sturdy. My order had an issue where the screen material that was shipped was too short for the oversized frame, so I reached out directly to RiteScreen and they were very helpful getting me new material. (Thank you so much, Dana!) I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking for a door, especially if you have a non-standard size like I do.

Beware of thickness!
Beware of the Thickness in certain installations. My installation would not allow for this door because it is too thick at the top. There is a decorative lip that does not allow it to seat properly in my application. IT'S ALSO REALLY TOUGH TO RETURN THIS ITEM. After 30 minutes on the phone I DID RECEIVE A REFUND. THANK YOU. As for construction, ease of assembly and quality, those were all great. Just won't fit properly, I wish it would, it's a nice door.

Good news/bad news
Good news is, the door fit perfectly after assembling and adjusting rollers. It was exact to my dimensions.Assembly was easy and quick. The video in the description info was less confusing than the printed instructions that cane with it.The bad news is shown in the photo. One of the rollers was incorrectly installed and looked like it was forced into place and warped the track. When I tried to reinstall and correctly position it into place, one end of the wheel assembly snapped off. I just hope it will last and stay in place with one side screwed in. The QA was not very good as this should have been caught and corrected before I received it. So no five stars on this one.

Very well built!
After the 4th of July, our dog completely destroyed our screen. Couldn’t find correct size to purchase, then found this screen!!! What a find, well built and it is just beautiful and works great!!! Little worried about putting together, but no problem!

Pros and cons
I’ve had the door installed for a couple of months now. Once assembled and the screen is installed Most of the door is very good quality. Much stronger than I expected. I did, however, have problems with the size. Once I had the door assembled, it was exactly 1/4 inch too large to fit in my frame. I went back and double check everything on my measurements to make sure that I had given them the correct information. My measurements were exact and the door was just simply a quarter inch too big. I ended up disassembling the door and cutting exactly a quarter inch off of each vertical leg and re-assembling it. Now that the door frame is assembled. the next step is to try to adjust the rollers to get them proper tension. Here’s the weakness with the door. The roller assemblies and particularly the way they adjust tension is not a good design and built very cheap. No matter how much work I put into properly adjusting the rollers. The door still jams and comes off the track when one tries to open it. If you use two hands and hold the bottom and top of the door at the same time you can open and close the door without it coming off the tracks. However, this definitely is not how you want to open and close your patio screen door. I strongly recommend they reassess the roller adjustment function and find a better solution. I’m also very disappointed with the size and that they got the size wrong. That seems like someone just wasn’t paying attention.

Heavy Duty - Exactly like OEM
I bought this door for an older Pella vinyl patio slider. Measured it following the custom instructions and it fit and functioned perfectly. I have a newer Pella slider that came with a screen door from Pella and is identical to this one from RiteScreen and way cheaper than buying from Pella. I chose the wool-pile weather-striping and it seals really nicely against the fixed door. My only complaint (very minor) is I wish they offered the inset handle in white to match my other door but I did not see that as an option when ordering.
