I regret buying this book
* It loses credibility by being very repetitive while championing a concise style of writing.* The content on YouTube is much better. I read half the book then watched a 7 minute video. I learned far more from the video.* I think it's mixing the "Inverted Pyramid" from journalism with the "Minto Pyramid"; it's the only content I've found that describes the Minto pyramid as inverted. The first two paragraphs of chapter 2 provide an illustration of this:Chapter 2 of this guidebook explores the Pyramid Principle, a method for organizing and communicating information in a clear and concise manner. Developed by Barbara Minto, a consultant and author. The Pyramid Principle is widely used in business and management consulting and it is based on the idea that all communication should be organized in a hierarchical structure. It starts with the most important information at the top and the least important at the bottom. The chapter covers the four main steps of the Pyramid Principle, where to use it, its benefits, and the history behind it. It also provides a step-by-step guide on how to apply the Pyramid Principle in writing.2.1 What is the pyramid principleThe Pyramid Principle is a method for organizing and communicating information in a clear and concise manner. It was developed by Barbara Minto, a consultant (at McKinsey at the time) and author, and it is used primarily in business and management consulting. The Pyramid Principle is based on the idea that all written or spoken communication should be organized in a hierarchical structure, like an inverted pyramid, with the most important information at the top and the least important information at the bottom.
