well worth the money
I replaced old orbit dual and single hose irrigation timers with these. Excellent upgrade! I have the B-hyve outdoor timer for my other yard irrigation and these integrate into that app. Easy to connect with bluetooth (connects within 30 ft) you can program/run from the timer or the app, no leaks so far (these have been installed for about 3 months), no problem with the battery so far.So nice I don't have to crawl into the brush to manually start/change/check status! I wish these had a water flow/usage meter.

It works best with the hub.
this is a cool piece of technology. I also have the four-port timer. The cost for the 2 port is not too high, just right for me. Adding on this unit to the hub fairly simple to do when using the hub. I've got both timers on the Hub and is really convenient when setting programs or even turning on the timer. You can use your iphone to turn it on with the app and be across your yard 100's of feet and it turns it on for you. No trips back and forth. It looks to be of solid construction. The display is simple to read and can also be manually programmed. I've just started using it, so I'm still watching battery life. It's a decent timer.

GREAT TIMER
I love this timer. I already had one with 4 outlets and adding this one finished my watering needs.

Great Smart Timer, But Limited Remote Access
This smart timer has made managing my yard so much easier. The two-port feature is super convenient for running different watering zones, and setup was pretty straightforward. The app is user-friendly and I love being able to schedule watering times down to the minute. My only complaint—and why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5—is that I can’t control it remotely when I’m away from the WiFi it’s connected to. I assumed I’d be able to adjust settings or turn it on/off while traveling, but unless I’m within range or have the hub set up just right, it doesn’t work.Still, for day-to-day use around the house, it’s a solid product. Just wish the remote functionality was more flexible.

Good Option for hose end timer
I’ve owned multiple first gen single port bhyve timers and quite frankly they were a pain. The newer xd are much more stable and the newer optional wifi hub is better as well. Less connection issues and the multi ports are a cleaner install vs several single port timers with splitters. A couple of tips.1. Do you need a wifi hub? Not if you just want it to run it at set programmed times and you’re happy controlling with bluetooth (you won’t be happy). However if you want to take advantage of weather triggered delays, or want access away from home, you’ll need the wifi hub. I have the 2nd gen hub and I can control a 4 port and a 2 port timer from the same bhyve app.2. What’s smart watering? Smart watering takes into account your lawn parameters, historically rainfall, day/time restrictions, etc to decide when to water and how long. I don’t use it and have it turned off. I set a manual program for the days and time. If there’s rain forecasted, bhyve will automatically set a rain delay (even if Smart watering is turned off). This means auto rain delays work for manual programs. You have the option to clear the delay if you don’t agree with the forecast.3. How many programs can I set? 4 programs per timer. Each program you will define a) days b) start times, multiple ok, c) the zones aka ports to run. You can have multiple zones in the same program, each zone can have it’s own run duration.4. The house side connection leaks, what do I do? Try two hose washers. Worked for me.5. Is this for lawn sprinklers only? No, I have lawn sprinklers and drip irrigation and microsprayers all connected as separate zones and water at different times.6. Can I install these in series? Yes. I have a 2 port timer feeding off of one of the ports on a 4 port timer. Just need to coordinate the on/off times. I did this to expand a zone where I didn’t want to dig for another irrigation line.7. Can I install in a buried valve box? Orbit says no. A buried install will adversely impact you connection. Having said that, I have both timers installed in shallow buried rectangular valve boxes.8. Does the app track event history? Yes, you can view the watering event history and also set notifications for start/stop, rain delays, device faults.Overall, much improved over the 1st gen and plenty of options that closes the gap between hose end timers and permanent type irrigation controllers.

Just no
I bought two single port timers last year. That’s how long they lasted, one year. I replaced them with a single and a double port. Single hooked up to the hub and app fine. There doesn’t seem to be a way to add another timer to the hub without resetting it and adding all timers back. If it can be done, it’s not easy shown. This product, app included, is over engineered with poor UI. I’m off to search for a different brand

DEPENDABLE! EASE OF PROGRAMMING!
This is as simple as it gets to program. The unit uses very little power so my batteries are now on their second year of usage! (I disconnect the units in the Fall and remove the batteries in the early Spring.) Each unit turns water on and off at programed time. It has a battery Guage on the unit so I know when I need to change batteries. All excellent!
