Made me feel safe enough to get under the car and start doing repairs myself!
I have been hesitant to start working on my car due to feeling apprehensive about getting underneath the vehicle. Many reviews for other jack stands had negative comments about the quality of the welds, or the jack stands looked and felt sub quality and questioned the safety of the product. These stands are overkill for my 4 door Chevy Cruze, however I wanted something that I could also use on my GMC Yukon when I decide to tackle some repairs on the SUV. I knew that I would have to jack my car up pretty high to get these underneath, but I wanted the heaviest set of jack stands that would still work, so that I could get under the car and not have to worry about being crushed. After receiving these stands, I was not disappointed in the quality. Each stand is clearly labeled as being rated for 6 ton capacity. The welds are definitely not professional mig welds, but were solid with no gaps and overall acceptable compared to the pictures I saw on other products. My fears about getting under the car were eased after seeing how solid these stands are!The minimum height is about 14 3/4 inches. This means for my cruze, which sits about 5 inches off the ground, I have to jack my car up about 10 inches. This is pretty high for the car; however, I have a low profile floor jack that can go up to 18 1/2 inches, so I had no problem getting the car up on these stands. The maximum height is about 23 inches if you sit the stand on the highest groove. This seems way too wobbly to make me feel safe, so I feel there must be something against setting it to the max height somewhere. Kind of like not standing on the top run of a ladder...However, I think these stands will be more than high enough to hold my SUV, which is a good bit higher than my car and will need about 18 inches.Using these jack stands I successfully propped up my Cruze and replaced the front disc break pads, and changed the oil. Both of these operations were very easy to do with the extra height that these stands forced me to use. I plan on tackling break jobs on my SUV in the future and will update if I have any issues with the height.Note: After using the 6 ton stands, I would purchase the 3 ton stands for use with my car to reduce the amount of jacking necessary. For now I will stick with these because they get the job done and make me feel safe.

heavy and solid
these things are monsters. held up my 2014 ram 1500 just fine while installing bilstein shocks. These are for trucks or SUVs. they go from 18" to 23". Welds were all spot on. built solidly. has a tab to keep the mast from lifting out of the base. They are rated for 6 tons and i believe it. finish is good as well. came packaged well also. my only complaint, and more like a nitpick, is it, like most jack stands, could use some rubber feet. not only would that provide added grip, put would minimize clanking metal as you move them into place.

I purchased these in December 2016 and reviewed them in January 2020. Still love them.
These jackstands were a great purchase. The bottom base is made from a very heavy gauge powder coated steel that is still holding up well after several years of use. The top portion of this is made from a solid iron bar that is extremely heavy and strong. I have use these to install lift kits on trucks, switch motors and vehicles and many other applications. I do not question their safety, construction or quality. The only thing I would suggest you keep in mind is the height. These are very tall and do not fit under most cars. They are perfect for SUVs, vans and trucks though.

POWERZONE 380037 JACK STANDS
I drive a 2005 Tundra pickup truck and I periodically rotate its tires. My existing jack stands were too short and I needed blocks under them to get the truck safely off the ground far enough to remove the wheels. With around 23.5 inches in height these jack stands do the job safely and securely ~ no more monkey-ing around with blocks of wood under my old (too short) jack stands. These are really well built and with this kind of capacity have no trouble supporting my truck. One down side of them is that they may be too tall to easily support your car. At their lowest setting they're quite tall and that's why I still have my shorter jack stands standing by in the garage. These jack stands all seem to look alike and are probably built in the same factory with different labeling to differentiate one company from another. I bought these because they were priced right and are comparable to many of the other jack stands being sold here on Amazon and other places as well.I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend them to a friend.

Great Quality
I bought two sets of these for holding up a 2,300lb 1985 Toyota MR2 (AW11). I know that's extreme overkill, but I am an extremely cautious person when it comes to the dangers of possibly being crushed to death. The build quality is great. They feel extremely sturdy, the welds are good, and the metal is nice and thick. The only issue I had with these is that they only go down to 15" at their lowest point. The regular car jack that I had bought for $25 at Wal-Mart was only able to get to about 13" in height at max. To solve this issue I went down to Harbor Freight and bought a quality floor jack for $100 on sale. That one lifts from a minimum height of 4" to a maximum height of about 25". It worked perfectly for getting my car up onto these jack stands.I felt very safe being underneath the car with these jack stands holding it up.

Great jack stands but read the instructions
These are great jack stands. Contrary to what some believe, the total weight classification is 6 ton for both jack stands. It's not 6 ton per jack, it's a total of 6 ton. Read the instructions and also the box and it tells the specifications about them. People think that because it has written 6 ton on each jack that is what they do but that's not what was intended. These are sold in a single box together and the total is 6 ton. If you try this on a 12 ton truck, you're probably going to die. Also check youtube videos on where to properly place the jack stands if you're not familiar with the procedure.
