A book that brings out the darkest desires. Amazing read!

I loved the backstory of both characters and how they intertwined.The most astonishing part for me is how Sophie describes emotions, feelings, sensations (touch, taste, etc.)This is less spicy than the first one.This book was overwhelming for someone as sensible as me.In a good way.The plot is as expected (no surprise there) but I don’t think that was the real purpose of the end of the story.

Tropes- Dark Romance- Found FamilyThe man who never cared about anyone is fixated on the girl nobody cared about.Cole and Mara - I’m still obsessed with their dynamic and love them together.So many questions were answered in this book, especially regarding Cole’s past.Mara has completely come into her own, and flourished in her new life. She is finally able to show her strength through her artwork, rather than just surviving and Cole is there to lift her up and stand beside her in anyway necessary.Cole is still Cole, but do we want him to change absolutely not. There are so many layers to him, but when all is said and done his world revolves around Mara.This storyline was so emotional and relatable in some many ways, the underlying themes and messages throughout are so powerful.
