Eukanuba Premium Performance 30/20 Adult Dry Dog Food, 29 lb. bag

my dog has been eating this for about 4 weeks now and he loves it. I know this isn't the greatest longevity for proof of love but here's my story behind the story. My dog is getting old at almost 14 years. He's a modern sport type english setter (bird dog) so very active for his age. He's become arthritic in the past few years so i started keeping glucosamine and chondroitin treats for him but our household wasn't very good at giving them at the intervals he required. From the beginning we had always fed purina until he began suffering allergies in older age which showed themselves as either chronic hotspots or ear infections so we switched to grain free food. After a couple different grain free feeds i stumbled across Candidae senior feed that combined the joint supplements into the food. That seemed like a quality food but...my dog was consistently 6 lbs underweight while consuming that ~35 lb bag. Google helped me figure out that senior dog feed caters to over weight dogs (thus his weight shortage with Candidae) and that a young, active, working dog food will help keep weight on. The other important bonus is it turns out these working dog foods contain the joint supplements as well! This food does have corn content so I'm no longer in that grain free category but I'm still battling dog's chronic ear infections grain free or not so at this point it's more important that he keeps his weight at normal level and gets the much needed joint supplements. Dog is gassier with this food. Best thing is when he's hungry, he willingly devours his Eukanuba as opposed to other foods we've tried where he avoids it until all other opportunity has expired.Update 12feb2018: 2, 30 lb bags later; I have to give up on this food for my dog's allergy purposes and go back to grain free food. dog is so yeasty smelling he can fill an entire room with his stinky odor. he's also developed a flaky skin irritation across his body since we've fed this that it makes him itch/groom himself to the point of causing himself dreadlocks! Even the groomer commented about his skin and smell; I just thought it was his ears again. it's frustrating because he did like this food and it caused no other visible troubles. the supplements were great and the food did keep his weight in place!

I have a 17 year old Lab/Hounddog boy who no longer tolerates eating just about everything. It's very difficult keeping weight on him with his constant diarrhea. Our vet put him on every special diet dry food possible and nothing worked. The old boy continued to decline. Because I wanted him to be getting more protein, fat and calories, I researched and found the Eukanuba Premium Performance Dry food and started him on it. It's been six months now, and "Bear" has been doing 90% better. Although he is also on a daily medication for intestinal inflammation, except on occasion, he no longer experiences the chronic diarrhea that he suffered with for almost 2 years. He now has more energy, his coat is thick and shiny and he actually goes out in the yard and runs around with a big smile on his face, which we hadn't seen in a long time. I can only attribute this overall improvement to feeding Bear Eukanuba Premium Performance Dry Dog Food.

Love this food. I've noticed that my dog's coat has become really shiny since eating this. The reason I purchashed was because was having problem with my dog keeping on weight (was a rescue dog and very malnourished when got). My dog never sits still so her metabolism is super fast. Vet was concerned that could be different problem so blood test ordered. Well, nothing wrong. I just needed something with extra high protein to maintain her weight. The only thing is that I will have to eventually change her dog food as she gets older and less active because an overweight animal is a big NO-NO.

This food has improved the health of my older dogs. So even senior need great nutrition. Coats are much better. caution for older dogs if they have teeth problems you may want to soften a bit. I have 3 large dogs and take one can of high quality pate style food. Drop in the ninjia blender with about a half can of water to make it a thick gravy. Mixing a bit with all three bowls of food. They are all happy and not over doing the calories of using can and wet.

My dog loves this food. I bought it because she is diabetic and was losing weight on her previous food. She has since started looking considerable healthier, especially her coat. This food has made her gain weight back in a healthy rate. I hoped that the pieces would be smaller or for there to be an option to buy this formula with smaller bites as she is only 10lbs.

Great dog food for the money. I haven't noticed any drop off in ingredients or performance by my dog post Mars purchase. I'll continue buying.Update: My next order of Eukanuba came in with the bag taped up at one end of a corner. Not good. Who knows how long it was opened before being taped. May have come that way from the manufacturer, I don't know. But no one wants a food product that has been opened. From now on I will buy in a pet store so I can examine the bag prior to the purchase.
