Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i Mobile Gamepad - Gloss White (IOS)

I love this controller.I'm a huge game geek, I currently game on Ps4, PC, Wii U, Xbox One, 3DS and now IOS. I've only fairly recently discovered that there are some fantastic (console quality) games to be played on mobile these days but let's face it, for the most part, touchscreen controls suck. So I decided to pony up for a controller. After much review reading, I decided to go for the Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i, I use a Mad Catz R.A.T 7 gaming mouse on my PC which I upgraded to from a R.A.T 3 so I already knew that this company make quality products. This controller is no exception, despite not feeling as premium as the ps4's dual shock 4 and the Xbox one controller, it still feels strong enough and well made. I had slight concerns about the phone clip being a little weak when I first got it but after several months of use, those concerns have gone away. The battery life on the controller is fantastic, I could tell you how many hours it will last, as that will vary depending on the batteries you use but I am really impressed with how well it lasts.The are two reasons I have given this a 4 star and not a perfect 5. The first reason being the biggest let down, which I knew going in but still a let down, is that the analogue sticks aren't buttons (no L3 or R3 buttons) which for a controller that's got almost everything else you'd want, just seems a little stupid to have missed them off, especially considering the price of the controller, which is the second complaint I have about the controller. Whilst not technically being an issue with the controller itself, for the price of this, it would have been nice to see a completely full featured controller i.e, clickable analogue sticks and a rechargeable battery perhaps.All that being said, this is still a very good controller for all the things that it does get right and a solid choice for any mobile gamer looking for a more console like experience from their iPhone/iPad.

Not a bad controller by any means however, it's not a great controller. Powering up and connecting through up no issues but when it came to actually playing something, the response was creating lag that just seems to get worse as you try to play.The app that thry suggest you download no longer seems to be available so there's no way to moniter the performance of the controller or adjust the mapping which is a problem for my personal purchase. Every button seems to be mapped correctly until you hit the right bumper which seems to share a mapping with the x button.Like i said, its not a bad controller, it works more than it doesn't. If you're looking for a real solution however, and care about your gaming experience, expand your budget to something a little more than £16.

Hi, for all of you out there that have just bought the RYZE Tello drone and are struggling to find a controller suitable, well this is the one for you. Have just received mine from Amazon and am delighted to announce that it works with the Tello and an iPhone X. The controller is well made, but I have dropped a star as the holder for the phone seems a little flimsy but seems to hold up all right. It connects to the phone via bluetooth with no problem, no app is needed. After connection only one led lights up and then this goes out when you start the Tello app, a little confusing as there is no indication that the controller is on. The only indication in the Tello app is the bluetooth symbol on the top middle of the screen is black. The controller operates all the functions as described in the setup page and there seems very little latency. For £12.99 you can't go wrong.

I bought this to use with my Apple TV 4 which I use for gaming and emulation via Provenance. I was on the lookout for a decent controller but the Nimbus and Hori were way too expensive especially seeing as I needed two for multiplayer.I wasn't expecting much from this controller but I've been pleasantly surprised. It's very well built and feels nice in the hand. The controls are responsive with very little input lag over Bluetooth. There's just the right amount of give in the analog sticks too and they're stiff enough that they are acceptable to use on older games such as Street Fighter 2 or Mario. This is great seeing as the DPad isn't up to much but it works ok if you need it.The only downside to this controller is the lack of L3 and R3. I can't see myself using them anyway but it'd be nice to have them all the same.It's great value for money and the added bonus of the phone adapter (which is incredibly sturdy and large enough for my 6S Plus) is an added bonus and gives it an edge over some of the other Apple TV compatible controllers.If you're looking for an Apple TV 4 controller, look no further. Grab it while it's cheap!!

Good: Good potential solid joypad with good iOS connections nice retro games.Bad: It’s a shame only one apps with games not updated for years now and Limited gameplay on some games only.

So I got this today and I am so happy it works perfectly for what I wanted it for I have tried other controllers but couldn’t find one that works with my iPad for minecraft and this one does only floor I have with this is the batteries that came with it had corroded in the box and leaked acid so if I was mad catz I wouldn’t provide batteries or make a device that don’t need batteries

Not a bad product for the price paid. There is a minor issue I noticed but it seems not to effect my devices.My issue is, I am using iPhone 7 Plus and it states a certian iOS and above, which would be ALL devices, upon turning the device on, it works blinking but as soon as I connect to my phone, it turns off but the controller is ON, I load a game and it works but looking at the controller it shows as off, so I am unsure what is wrong but overal working without a problem on my iPhone 7 Plus.

Very good controller, absolutely great for minecraft and games that support the controller. However, my L1 button stopped working almost immediately. I haven’t got a clue why and it’s really bugging me because it’s such a fantastic controller. I tried everything and can’t seem to get it working again. Might have to replace it.
