Is this produced by heat extraction and what is the fibre % content

88% of 100% of product is fibre.

I am tying to decide between this and an agave based inulin. Does anyone know if theis chicory based one offers any advantages?

Be careful of 'Agave' , especially if as syrup , processed may contain other additions including fructose: if looking to replace table-sugar , Inulin ; not for baking , but for cold application to smoothies , tea , coffee or other drinks , is better option . If for 'low-calorie' look for 'Stevia' , this too may contain 'Erythritol' which some people cannot tolerate as causes them side-effects .

Label shows 206 kj/kcal, which is it kj or kcal?

I have finished this bag, but current bag from Peek Supps says, per 100g, 895KJ/214 Kcal, and, per 5g serving, 45KJ/11Kcal.I can't think there will be much difference in the inulin, so hope this helps! Regards, Hazel

Does it dissolve well in milk?

I add it gradually to warm/hot milk stirring to avoid lumps. Not sure how it mixes with cold liquids as I usually use it with breakfast cereals adding it stirring it before I add my weetabix or other cereal. Also use it in tea and coffee drinks. It’s not as sweet as sugar but possibly a healthier alternative or just an addition with less sugar. I put into cup with coffee or teabag and stir as adding boiling or hot water. It does mix ok Find this a cheaper alternative to Major Health Company Product and seems as effective.
