Compact and easy to use and all size of grinds
First of all it’s a conical burr grinder , the best grinder for coffee beans . Secondly this particular brand is compact , easy to use clean and certainly looks smart . It has got lot many settings from coarse to fine grind . Whatever coffee machine you have got at home be it an espresso machine or south Indian coffee filter or French press you get the required grind size from this agaro grinder. I have used it for a week now and I am very happy with it . Someone who has been using it for one year recommended me this product and I am satisfied with my purchase . Their team calls you for live demo . It’s a good thing if you have any queries regarding the product . In all it’s a good product with a good team to help you incase you have any queries . Ms Mampi called me for the demo and she gave me very useful tips regarding the usage and cleaning .

Looks to be excellent value for money
The media could not be loaded. I have been using a WPM grinder for last few years. I got it along with a KDE 310 espresso machine ( both used )Am still learning with both. So this is an amateur reviewThe Agaro grinder looks to be quite good for a home user. Because I got it today and haven’t brewed a coffee yet, can’t offer any comments on that. The packing is excellent, and the design looks good too. It’s intuitive.I don’t store beans in the hopper. In fact when you have a grinder I makes better sense to grind well stored beans just before use.I am also a coffee roaster and concerned about my beans aging too quickly ( and storing in a hopper isn’t appealing!)A light roast bean grinds different form a medium roast, and as it goes darker the results change too.As does the flavor of the coffee when we change the burr gaps. Also taste is quite personal. What one likes may not be all that exciting or maybe even disliked by anotherIf spare burrs and after sales service are available, I think this will be a good entry level grinder. And as one goes along his or her journey into coffee, when the time comes, one can decide to go higher then ☕️Update on July 10,2023: I have used the grinder a few times. It is easy to clean. I also like the fact that retention of coffee is very low. Almost minimal. Maybe less than a gram even at the finest espresso setting. One negative, nothing bad, just a minor nuisance, is that each time you switch on, it goes to a default 10 sec. And the maximum is 40 sec. So you can’t run it continuously. It may be an intentional design element to avoid overloading the motor.Another fault would be the short cord length. A bare minimum so there is no way you can keep it at length past other devices. This too isn’t a functional fault, a nuisance rather. The hopper lid locks in but easily wobbles off. So does the grinds container. But I don’t mind either. Because I weigh in the beans and catch the grinds in a small steel tumbler.Anyway, after two weeks of use, I am okay and happy.

Not for espresso!!!! For Brew coffee only!
A key determinant of a good espresso is the grind efficiency. You should be able to extract an espresso in 20-30 seconds in a 2:1 ratio or 2.5:1 ratio. If you put 18 grams of ground coffee you should get 36 to 45 grams of liquid out in a span of 20-30 seconds. This is by default a good espresso. If the time is less than 20s the shot tastes sour as it is under-extracted, if the time is more than 30s it tastes bitter as it is over-extracted. Any new coffee bean should be dialled into the espresso machine. This process is done by testing different grind levels to make sure that you get your shot in 20-30 s.The Agaro machine does not have the refinement to get fine coffee grounds. At grind level of 4, I got the espresso shot in 15-16 sec and on increasing the fineness of grind to 3 it took more than 50 seconds. There is nothing between 3 and 4. This is a typical problem of cheap stepped grinders and the main reason I cannot recommend this machine to anyone. The advantage of this grinder is that it is cheap. Period. At this price point, it gets you your swill. It is a perfectly OK grinder for less demanding methods like brew, french press, etc. If you want espresso (and cappuccino, mocha, latte, flat white etc. which are derivatives of espresso shots) this is not the machine for you. You are likely to waste money and end up buying a new more capable grinder (like me).Other advantages are that it has a timer and relatively low retention of coffee. But the main failure is in its (lack of) grinding capabilities.

you get what you pay for
decent quality for the price. grind size could have been finer for use in an espresso machine. but there isnt much you can expect from a machine at this price. gets the job done.
