Quartet Cork Board, Bulletin Board, 3' x 2' Corkboard, Aluminum Frame (2303)

I felt compelled to write the review because I was hesitant to purchase this product fearing that it could arrived damaged as much smaller dry erase boards I have ordered through Amazon were. I am assuming they have improved their packaging because it was actually packed quite well in two boxes with a significant amount of padding on all of the edges and corners. Also the cork board seems to be of good quality (maybe not great but after all the thing is huge and not much more than $100 shipped) and takes regular thumbtacks no problem which was a concern I had from some other reviews.I will say though that you have to be at least a little handy to be able to secure the product on a wall per the instructions. The drywall anchors didn't seem cheap but I still had a bit of a problem with getting one in properly. Also I broke two drill bits drilling into the aluminum edge of the board to secure it but I was just using regular drill bits since I wasn't prepared to drill into metal and just wanted to get it on the wall. You may want to make sure that you have the proper tools including a drill, stud finder, a 1/4" drill bit and a 1/8" drill bit rated for drilling in metal. I think some other reviewers have skipped this step but since it is in our busy warehouse I wanted to make certain that it is secured properly and they did provide what was necessary to do so. I had another person help me with the initial measuring but other than that was able to install it myself in an hour or so.

This is a great product for an office for for a kids room to prevent unwanted holes in your walls.

If yours isn’t broken here is some additional information.The frame itself although represented as wood, isn’t it is more of a veneer and it is cheap looking and quality.The thickness of the cork board itself is decent, but a push pin will go all of the way through. However given the way the board is mounted it will not damage the behind it.Overall you get what you pay for and if mine had not been broken (due to the flimsy nature of the product and poor handling when it was shipped) I would have probably rated this product a 3.It is functional, but certainly not the best in class.

I bought this wonderful product to replace one that was falling apart. The old one was taken from the house I left when I divorced my husband; it had things on it that didn't apply to my life now. When the new one came I was able to decide what to put on it that was relevant to MY life now. The cork is superior quality (almost too good..have to push hard to get a push pin to go in sometimes; but I manage.) The size fits perfectly in the space I have for it in my apartment. A definite must for anyone who needs a corkboard this size...also, it looks beautiful.

People seem to love this or hate it so here's the our verdict, 5 years later. We bought it to keep track of calendars, school schedules, etc. for kids. We only hung paper items, including printable calendar pages by month, & we used push pins. We hung it on one the side of a tall cabinet using Command strips so as not to damage the cabinet. It has worked fine for that. 5 years later, there are numerous raised areas where the push pins go, due to many removals & replacements of papers. Nothing ripped or fell apart. So for the price, it has worked well with what I'd consider light use for 5 years. We're replacing it now just because the cork is looking a little tired. (The Command strips did fail periodically so that wasn't ideal but that's a separate issue.) If you are looking for a thick, quality cork that withstands a lot of use, or heavier duty use, this is probably not the right product.

My daughter's wanted a large bulletin board for their basement refuge. Other framed large bulletin boards were upwards of $500. This Quartet bulletin board was a little over $100. Because it is very light, it is also easy to bend. Mine arrived bent but I managed to coax it back to sorta straight. Mounting directions were confusing at first but I figured it out and got it mounted level on the first try. If you need a 5'x3' cork board then I recommend this one just make sure yours isn't bent out of shape.

I had written a negative review because when I received it, it has a slight problem (with the cork buckling) that got worse and worse. Finally, after 8 months, I decided I needed to buy a new board ... but then I noticed this company offered a 5 year warranty. So, I emailed the company and, wow, they made it as easy as possible. After I described the problem, they sent me a new board a few days later. The new board works great.

The marker board is what it is; comfortably large (enough to allow me to write what I need, small enough to fit in a bedroom for studying), easily cleaned, sturdy, and easily mounted. It's only down-side is that the mounting brackets are slanted down and outward, which is slightly awkward. I'd recommend it as a purchase.Update: I've been using two of these boards for about three years, now. They suffer from ghosting (failure to completely erase old markings) like all melamine whiteboards do, but not enough that it interferes with usage. Three years out I'm still happy with it - you just need to wash it with a dilute ammonia solution now and again.

Sturdy and very nice-looking.

Poor quality. Removed the label sticker when I recurved the product, and it took off the finish together with it.

Fits our wall in our lunchroom perfectly. Was easy to install and the quality is great (as expected from Quartet).
