Kala Solid Body Electric Acacia Tenor Ukulele, with Bag

Had another electric uke that had sucky pickups. This one is sleek, small, and perfect for the electric Ukulele enthusiast. Wish I found it sooner!

Very nice solid body electric ukulele. Has a wonderful tone and playability. Volume and tone adjustment knobs. Arrived in good condition, no complaints. Kala gig bag included. I play it through the Kala electric ukulele amplifier and it sounds amazing. Ukulele was true to what I ordered. Note: this ukulele is set up for a low G string. As far as I know it's note compatible with a high G string.

LOW G ONLY!!! Not designed for regular reentrant tuning. The bridge slot is cut EXTRA WIDE to accomodate the Low G string. Standard high G string knots will slip right through. I understand a lot of people play Low G but a ukulele should accomodate reentrant tuning or it's not really a uke. It's more of a 4-string travel guitar. I regret buying this.

Other than the frets needing a little filing this is a great inexpensive uke

I mainly use this ukulele for ideas playing at night time. Surprising nice and clear sound and nobody will be disturbed. But there are two points: The saddle is lower on string 1 and 4, but the fretboard is even. In consequence the low-G string is rattling when playing a little bit louder than pianissimo. On the nut the strings 1 to 4 are 29,1 mm apart, which is a bit too much considering the comparatively slim fretboard. But this is no major issue, as these parts can be replaced by TUSQ quite easily. Overall, in this speciality of electric ukuleles with fluorocarbon strings no competitors can touch Kala at present.
