Amazing! Surpassed expectations
These are amazing! With the recent heavy snowfall in the UK which where I live partially melted then refroze, turning the paths and roads into sheets of black ice I took a punt on these. They have surpassed my expectation, even walking on solid black ice it was like I was walking on a normal surface no slippage at all amazing traction. Felt incredibly safe and secure! I will return to update in around 6 months, I’ve noticed other reviews talking about durability and the rubber breaking, I could imagine this with regular use, but it’s the nature of the beast if you want a secure fit it needs to stretch. If like me you just want these in the cupboard for the once in a blue moon with have bad snow and ice well worth it!!!!

Effective and good value
I actually bought these for my trip to Iceland and never used them! However, the last couple of days here in Scotland has been dangerously icy and these worked an absolute treat. No slips on the ice. They aren't the easiest to strap onto boots but other than that, great value and effective.

Works but not durable.
They work great as a temporary pocketable way to avoid slipping, put these on you to slip, just walk! But they're not a long day hike type item, the plastic breaks, if you carry some string (e.g. dymeena) as a self repair you can keep going. So long as you know that and use in that context it's a brilliant bit of kit. I use mine to walk to the shops for half a mile it's bliss to have no slipping and walk fast. Does sound like you're walking over eggshells.

Excellent for walking on packed ice
Secure fit and really good grip on ice. They're very durable, I bought these as a replacement not because they wore or got damaged but because I lost one. They are very good value. I wore them while gritting the car park and didn't lose my footing once. Word of advice: they are very slippy on tiled floors, and they don't make walking in the snow any easier. They only work on ice and they do this very well indeed.

Great in thicker ice
Brilliant in thicker ice no slipping at all

Walk naturally with improved traction
These definitely improved traction and are easy to walk in with your natural gait. However, they moved shifted position a little during a walk. How robust they turn out to be remains to be seen. Unlike 'crampons' fitted with spikes, these are smaller and lighter and more likely to pass through airport security if you want to take them on an overseas trip and they are less likely to damage other kit.

Not true to size.
Heard good things about Yaktrax while looking for over-shoe ice grips and was looking forward to being able to walk more safely in the icy conditions here at the moment. Bought the pair that should’ve matched my shoe size. Box says medium. The grips themselves are stamped with the size. At first glance it seems I’ve got the right ones, but they’re far too small! It’s not just a case of needing to stretch them a bit. These will absolutely not fit over the UK size 8 shoes the box claims they’re for. Returned.

Not durable enough for extended use.
Great, save for the fact they don't last long. Always took care fitting them to the shoes, such that any unprotected sections were placed into the recesses in the sole of the shoe. After about 40 lm walking, the rubber split apart anyway in a different location. Previously broken a set of WinterTrax and bought these as a replacement. I think they are fine for walking infrequent, short distances but for regular longer walks in snowy and icy conditions, they are not up to par.

I bought these cleats for my wife. She has used them 4 times and they are already falling apart.

The grip is great on snow and ice but one of the rubber bands snapped after two days of use. Was expecting at least to last a season. Hopefully the replacement product will last longer. Update: The second pair lasted longer but only 4 days so need a second replacement
