Great little welder
I’ve been welding for quite a long time now, around 10 years off and on. I’m not the best welder out there by any means however I know a decent machine when I use one. I wanted a backup machine that could run mig/stick mainly but the tig function is just a bonus IMO. Cranked up all the way using flux .030 this little guy will get you decent penetration on 1/8 and 3/16 plate. Of course preheating your Peice will help tremendously. On the thinner materials this welder really does a pretty good job. I built a small study for my fiancé as a test Peice and I must say it was well worth the money. I also own this manufacturers AC/DC tig/ stick machine and it’s a fantastic machine as well.

Sm great welder for price…buttttttt
Great welder for the price and does little jobs great, but the flux cord install on instructions say it uses a pin. It uses a plastic turn knob that was broken on mine. But stick welding is 👍🏻👍🏻

Nice machine with one glitch
This is a nice portable welder for light duty work. Unfortunately the wire feed tip is too small for the wire included. Fortunately tips are cheap and easy to install. I’m not a great welder but found this little machine does an okay job with the wire feed and DC stick welding, and it’s extremely portable.

Shockingly good
I haven't had a welder available in years. I had an old stick welder but never had a garage with 220v power handy. This little guy definitely doesn't have the punch of that for penetrating scabby steel but if you take the time the clean the metal up it worked really great for me. I used it so far to get an old flat trailer back on the road with new spring brackets and some other little repairs and this welder did just fine. I used the flux core wire that it came with, though I did find the factory gun-tip seemed to clog frequently and had much better luck after swapping for a new one from a local store. For the record mine came with:The welder itself. Power lead prewired (not always a given with welders)Ground leadstick clip leadgun for wire use w/ 1mm (ish?) tip on it1 spool of wire (feels probably full sized)shoulder strap for machine. I put mine on, no idea if it'll ever see use. Seems like an odd scenario you'd want it.Flat packed 'mask' that's just thin plastic with a small glass welding-tinted window. Hand-held

you wouldn't think...
So buying this was a difficult choice, I'm a certified welder with over 15yrs experience in production welding. You wouldn't think this little thing would work so well. So far since i bought it in May it's become my go-to for any of my projects or repairs super light and easy to move around my only complaint is i really wish the ground cable was thicker and longer. Great job will definitely be recommending it and would definitely buy again if i ever need a second one

I got to use it twice now it does not work.
I got to use it twice now. It does not work it won't come on it, won't weld? You can't select between anything. First time well to good second time. Well done for a couple seconds, then quit.

would be a good welder except....
Would be a good welder but the 5 cent locking nuts plastic tabs broke off right away. When you cant keep pressure on the wire spool the wire unspools. Then its just a nice arc welder. I have seen some cheap welders before but they all used a metal nut or screw for the spool pressure retainer.Ill use a vice grips to hold it on till I come up with a solution.Id wait till this problem is fixed before buying one of these.Good Luck, Al B.
