Sturdy
Very heavy duty belt, took a couple weeks to break in but it’s mostly comfortable now. Feels like a lifetime purchase item.

Charged full price to restock the belt? Scam alert.
I've been lifting for over 35 years using my trusty Valeo Belt. I was growing tired of my hips falling asleep between sets due to the tightness of my belt. Doing some research, Pioneer and SBD had great reviews with their adjustable latch type buckles. Power Lifters have been using them for decades. it Looked to be the best thing since buttered bread. Decided to take the plunge.Went on Amazon and this belt was the only Pioneer belt for sale (about 203 USD with tax). Zero SBD belts were for sale so I decided to purchase. I measured my waist 3 times (40 inches) as instructed by Lifting Large's (LL) size chart. Little did I know, measurements should be taken from your current belt and not a relaxed waist line, according to SBD. LL's chart was way off. Ordered a Large as that was recommended by LL's chart.Well upon arrival, I began test fitting and moving the buckle around to get the best "cinch" for my squat and back sets. Ended up on the last hole while the excess leather would bunch up upon a cinch and case a gap, not allowing the lever to sit fully closed. When the belt did sit correctly, it was fantastic support. Better than I have ever felt.Pondering and return, I called a leather shop and advised if they could punch a few extra holes in the leather. They advised that they could. Still test fitting the belt, the excess leather due to using the last hole, was becoming an issue with the latch seating.I decided this would be too much modification to cut a few inches off the leather while punching more holes in the belt. Returning for a swap would be much easier and less costly? Decided to return as "not as described" due to LL's measurement chart and the amount of fabrication to make the belt right. Thinking I would just return and purchase a Medium from LL. It ended up to be not that easy as LL's Ad on Amazon advised all belts being sold were "Unavailable" at this time.Amazon did advise free return shipping. i printed out the UPS shipping label and boxed up the belt for the return. The UPS label advised that LL would charge me for shipping. I didn't understand as Amazon stated it was free. Strange. Shipping label also advised that if there was any excess damage to the product, no refund would be granted. That should not be an issue as this belt was like new.Shipped my belt back in its original box and tracking the return, LL received it about two days later. I then received an email from Amazon stating my return refund of 17 dollars was refunded to my account and that approximately 174 dollars was charged as a restocking fee??? What!!??I immediately called Amazon to confirm this, which they did. They were also stunned at the charge. I was very early in the return window and nowhere was there a mention of a restocking fee. it is obviously an attempt to scam the buyer. Now they have my belt and my money. If I had known how dirty they were, I would have never done business with them. On top of this I was charged for shipping.Well the next day Amazon gave me a full refund including shipping. You gotta love their buyer protection. I've been shopping Amazon for years and have never had anything close to this happen to me. i have already ordered a new belt from Pioneer (factory) as given the right size, the engineering of the belt is outstanding. All I can tell anyone who is thinking of purchasing from Lifting Large LLC is Caveat Emptor (Buyer beware). As for Lifting Large LLC, pride comes before destruction.

Lovely belt
All around a great belt, it’s got plenty of room to adjust, the leather and lever are very high quality, and the only downside is that the thickness of the belt causes it to dig in at my hips and ribs. Hoping it will go away as i break the belt in, but as we all know, no pain no gain.

Belt in action
The media could not be loaded. I don’t really deadlift so I’m not great but I will say out of all the belts I tried, this is one of the best ones 10/10 recommend 👍 💯 YT:rubylinks
