This is a fairly comprehensive compilation of the Velvet Underground from their four studio albums (excluding 'Squeeze') and the outtake album "VU".The tracks included are:"The Velvet Underground And Nico" - I'm Waiting For The Man, All Tomorrow's Parties, Femme Fatale, Heroin, Venus In Furs, Sunday Morning."White Light/White Heat" - White Light/White Heat, Here She Comes Now, I Heard Her Call My Name."The Velvet Underground" - What Goes On, Pale Blue Eyes, Beginning To See The Light, Some Kinda Love."Loaded" - Sweet Jane, Rock And Roll."VU" - I'm Sticking With You, Stephanie Says, I Can't Stand It.The selection from their first and greatest album is very good, although i would have included 'I'll Be Your Mirror' and (reluctantly) omitted 'Sunday Morning' to make room for it.The seminal 'Sister Ray' is excluded in the selection from "White Light/ White Heat" possibly because of its length. I would personally have included this, keeping only 'White Light/White Heat' and just two tracks from "The Velvet Underground" - the classics 'What Goes On' and 'Pale Blue Eyes' - to accommodate it.The brilliant and archetypal 'Sweet Jane' is slightly different from the version on my copy of "Loaded".From 'VU' I would select 'Ocean' and 'Temptation Inside Your Heart' instead of 'I'm Sticking With You' and 'I Can't Stand It.' 'Stephanie Says' is an excellent choice however.These are just my personal preferences and everyone will have their own favourites. The great majority of the tracks pick themselves. A fantastic compilation from one of the greatest and most influential bands of all time.

Lockdown allows musical exploration and I wanted to explore more of Ian Hunter's work. I only knew the hits and glad to have heard more.

The Best of the Velvet Underground all on one CD, what more can one say?

A fantastic best of collection highlighting the variety and moods of this innovative band. I love it.
