Great looking bird feeder.
That bird feeder is huge and very well built. Should last for a long time.

WELL BUILT TO LAST A LONG TIME
I am so glad I ordered this bird feeder. It seems huge, but once mounted on a 4x4, it is just right. It holds a massive amount of seed and I don't care if squirrels get on it. I did order the mounting bracket Woodlink 7503 Universal Mounting Bracket as suggested by another reviewer and I am so glad I did. I didn't expect the feeder to be as heavy as it is. We sealed it with Thompson's Wood Seal and once on top of the 4x4, we put in one screw, adjusted the view, and then added the screws when it was turned to the view we liked. It worked out perfectly. The mount is on the side of the 4x4 and the screws go up into the feeder, hence the ability to turn it. Great suggestion, OP, thank you!

Heavy Duty and Top Opens Up
Its built well and is easy to open from the top. Its large enough for larger birds to land on and eat. Truly a real bird feeder, not the cheap plastic junk every else seems to sell. Hard to believe there's so few actual products built the way they should be. I have the sectional post with the flat mount screwed in with all the screws the mount allows. There's been raccoons, ducks, and squirrels on it and no significant damage. Yes the raccoons got mad and started chewing it to open it but little damage. I moved it away from their access after that.

Beautiful bird feeder
I bought this bird house for my parents. I hung it on a cable with a pulley for them to easily lower and fill. To do that I drilled small holes in it and tan the cable through. I’m not sure that it’s cedar but it might be. We put Thompson water seal on it before using it. It does not mold the bird seed…has plenty of air flow after a rain with the mesh bottom. Very well built and thought out. I’ll update over time on how it holds up.

Not for Florida weather
With 4 months of rainy season this doesn't hold up. The screws rusted (should be stainless steel) and the roof overhang is too small. The seed had to be throw out nearly every day due to being wet. It's nice looking and easy to use but not designed or sturdy enough for SW FL. (I even applied polyurethane for water repellent)

Fantastic, the birds love it
Came reassembled, made in USA, has water venting mesh on long sides (wasn't clear in photos), mounted easily, holds a LOT of foods, so fewer refill trips needed.

Very easy filling thru roof that stays down during windy days weather's to a nice grey as it ages very good value for the money

Well Built, Heavy Duty, Large Capacity, Loss Of Seed Issue Though...
5/3/18 UPDATE: I did find they make a seed tray for below the feeder, maybe the $75 investment in a seed tray will pay for itself in what I'll save in seed loss with this feeder over time. Woodlink Giant Post Mounted Seed Tray with 4 x 4 AdapterGreat, well built, heavy duty bird feeder! We had a previous Woodlink bird feeder for a very long time, they're built to last. Sadly, the attention to quality/detail is lacking on this one just in the way that there's a lot of rough sawn edges, wood splinters, etc. Also, is anyone noticing a huge loss of seed with this one? Our old Woodlink feeder was a large capacity one like this and we never had issues with seed falling out onto the ground. We go through black oil sunflower seed like crazy since replacing our old feeder with this one. We do feed a lot of birds but not that many. And I've noticed now we have a gathering of squirrels on the ground below the feeder, our chickens now make it a point to visit the base of the feeder, as well as a pair of Canada geese now come and eat below it as well. Seems to be a design flaw or something here with this one. I know they gotta eat too but it's costly!Anyways, I gave it 4 stars on the quality issues and the waste of seed.Thank you.

The Birds love it!
Good quality. I had to add boards at the bottom and paint it for better curb appeal.

Lots of issues including cheap balsa wood.
This bird feeder is not well built, at least the lid. Screws are missing and the screws are not screwed in all the way. So the lid is loose and seems flimsy.Yes the wood in kiln dried 7/8 but what they don't say is its balsa wood, very cheap. Balsa will never hold up with a lot of rain, snow and bad weather we have in Canada. The other complaint is that the product card was stuck to one of the plastic windows and the glue will not come off even after using muriatic acid which removes everything. You can scrape it off with a knife but it will scratch the plastic.I'm returning it.

Broken roof piece
We were very disappointed to see that one of the two roof pieces had clearly broken off at the manufacture and was fixed with wood putty. As shown on pictures, the putty did not take the wood stain that we applied. The fact that Woodlink has knowingly shipped this obviously "repaired" bird feeder is beyond me!We know we could have returned the feeder but all the work (staining and exterior finish) to make it look nice and more durable would have had to be redone...
