Nice peas
I can only assume that the poor souls who have had a bad experience with these must have got a rogue batch...these work great for mushy peas and soups and a great deal more (actually that's probably overstating things - there's only a limited amount of things you can go with marrowfat peas!)Just remember to thoroughly soak these (adding salt or, as someone has suggested, bicarbonate of soda). I give mine at least 12 hours - and simmer for a couple of hours. Perfect chip shop style mushy peas or pea soup every time. One 500g pack will give you 6 very generous servings (at least twice the size that you would get from a tin), so these are extremely good value. They have a long shelf life (the 'best before' date is about 12 months time) so you don't need to worry about them going off (or having to have peas every day in order to avoid having to chuck them away)I hope this review helps

Good value and well packed.
Apart from the usual uses..mushy peas soups etc I also used them as follows.....fill a seed tray with soil, spread the peas (soaked overnight) thickly then cover with 1/2inch soil. Keep in greenhouse or on windowsill. Water lightly every day. The peas will start shooting after 3days. Cut them when about 4ifinches tall. So tasty raw in salads or added to stir fries. They can even be planted in the garden where they will grow tall and produce garden peas. Such good value compared to the usual seed packets! So many used for such a good price.

Decent quality marrowfat peas
Used these to make mushy peas - steep overnight with sodium bicarb then rinse and then carefully simmer. Delicious. One pack had a wee split - no problem - just used it first.

They always come out just right.
I cannot find anything negative to say about this product. I will always use this brand of dried peas. After soaking them overnight with a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda, rinse them with cold water, place in a pan of boiling water and simmer for about ten minutes. They are good added to vegetable broth but just as delicious on their own with sausages and mashed potato.Thank you.

Perfect mushy peas
As with the reviewer Tittensor I also live in Austria and have been missing my mushy peas as i'm from Lancashire where these are plentiful. I bought these marrowfat peas some time ago and have used all but one pack and am now about to order a new batch. Cooked properly they are pefect and tasty, and freeze well. It's a little taste of home and worth the price.

Good Product shame about the packaging.
These are very good peas that cook down well with a nice flavour. The only problem is, the packaging which, coupled with the appalling delivery drivers we are all used to, is not good. Our first delivery arrived as though it had been dropped as the box and packets of peas had burst. These were subsequently replaced and the second delivery was okay .

Product good. Packing very poor.
The packaging was very poor. Two of the six packs were split, which meant the peas were falling out of a hole in the outer packing as it arrived. I give a poor rating because they are expensive when a third of the packs are broken.
