As bright as the bulb it replaced & has a 'whiter' light
This was to replace a desk lamp bulb which had been going for a long time (with intermittent use).So I wasn't expecting to be able get a replacement bulb after all this time but I checked Amazon & found a replacement & has given the desklamp a new lease of life!

Bright enough.
It's easy to install and gives a good amount of light after it's warmed up a little. There are brighter ones out there though.

Saved us a fortune
The light in my fridge was intermittently flashing/ going off. After being told that we needed a whole new light unit at a great expense (I even thought of buying a new fridge because of the price of the unit), I did a bit of homework and purchased this light bulb. Fitted in minutes and saved a fortune! Perfect.

Until LED equivalents are better, this will do the job
Bought to replace an Osram Dulux S 11W/840 in an old (1990s?) desk lamp. Same colour temperature, lumen output (900) and power rating as the Osram and it looks almost identical. I would have liked to buy an LED bulb instead, but the PL equivalents look awful (mainly stubby in shape with ugly SMDs) and still cost an arm and a leg with an energy saving of perhaps 2W, so not worth it. Probably by the time this new CFL blows in another 10 years there will be better LEDs around. At under £3 this is much cheaper than I can buy locally.The box it came in has mysterious symbols on it (see photo) which may mean that it's not suitable for use with high frequency ballast.

Bright, buzzy
But of an annoying buzzing noise that I've not heard from other bulbs, but works and kicks out a very good light.
